When Gap quote a reimbursement amount, does that mean that they reimburse the full amount whether you spend that much or not? I seem to remember that when the last wave of stamp jobs were out somebody said that they only paid to send a 1st class letter, got a POP, and were still reimbursed the full amount. Am I right please, or am I imagining things?
    Many thanks :D

It's my understanding that if you post a letter and get a CoP, then they will still reimburse you the full amount.

Does anyone keep a ledger for their MSing? Thinking I need to keep some sort of record from it...any tips?

Try looking at the post on the first page...

    Record keeping

Keeping records is something that’s vital with MSing. This is for two main reasons – one is that the MSing company may call you (potentially ages) after the job has been completed to query your report, and the other is for your tax return information at the end of the year.

In terms of tax, the record keeping can prove invaluable on a month to month basis and it’s worth investing some time and possibly money in setting up a bookkeeping system.

There’s a spreadsheet designed by ukmonkey - MS_Logger by ukmonkey which is very whizzy with macros, or for a more basic one that will still add up how much tax you owe and keep track of all earnings, then feel free to PM me, but please remember to send your email address.

    no problem!
  • Just got back from holiday and found a lovely payment from GFK and a beautful new thread!

Hope everyone is good and MS'ing is treating you well - I'm getting back in with 4 jobs today ... business as usual!

BTW I know this has been talked about already as I read through all the posts I missed while I was away, but what is with GAP's new search system?! I used to select 10 areas and get to see all the jobs I caould do ... now I have to search 1 area that isn't very specific. :( Annoying.
Slowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x

Maybe the useful link to the GAP search could be added to the first page? Off to find it, now...

Here it is (replace hxxp with http, and the country/cities with your own):

    hxxp://www.xec.gapbuster.com/WebSelect3/SearchAssignment.aspx?q=search&flag=true&f1=England&f2=&f3=Newcastle,Liverpool,Sheffield,London&c=&a=&start=&end=&premiumOnly=false&pageSize=25&pageIndex=0
