Well seeing I have a spare hour this morning so answering my own post. In case anyone doesn't know. If you look at any job on RE by opening the assignment notes. That shows up on there system that you were interested.
Then as the date draws near you get a personal email saying they know you were interested as you clicked on the notes and are you still interested.
So if most of us click on these reduced fee pubs then await the eamil we can reply "Yes I was interested but not at that reduced fee as it isn't worth it""
I did it recently with 1 which remained untaken for ages. They emailed me then phoned me. I said the fee would barely cover my petrol so I wasn't doing it. Surprise surprise they then upped the fee considerably which more than covered my petrol and gave me a good surplus.
Might be a way to get the message to them. Anyone agree.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
The pub jobs I can see still offer the same reimbursement, so you can still buy the 2 drinks. The fee has halved though so for me, not worth doing (and I suggest everyone else takes the same attitude then RE may realise we're not willing to work for free).
There are some Sunday lunch pub visits round here too - reimbursement is better for these but again, fee is less than it used to be.
If everyone ignores these, then replies back to the begging emails that inevitably will be sent, explaining why, RE may get the message.Happy New Year :beer:0 -
Yep, have to agree about the pub assignments. Not worth doing in my eyes. Plus the ones in my area are doing the week and I much prefer ones at the weekend. Doing well out of RE at the moment so I must not grumble!0

100% - I posted my reply saying similar at the same time!
However...I have fallen out with RE at the moment as they still haven't worked out what happened to the two bookie reports I did nearly a month ago that vanished. I spoke to one of their "top managers" yesterday who was going to call me back when she had found out.
I live in hope!Happy New Year :beer:0 -

Saw your post Andy. Great minds think alike eh>:rotfl:
Do you mean your report submitted OK but they then said they didn't get it.
I got a call from a different company asking for my report on a job I did a few weeks ago as they had accidentally deleted it and needed it to send to the client. As it was in Excel I got it back out of my recycle bin.
They are all fond of telling us to do the reports quickly while things are fresh in your mind.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

If they had emailed and said I did something wrong, then fine. I would accept not getting paid. But it is the fact they think it's ok to ignore me constantly, yet they dock points if a report is late.Happy New Year :beer:0 -

I emailed back asking for details and the job vanished from my pending payments page but they have never replied. I have sent 6 emails, which the person on the phone said they have not received. I know this is incorrect as in one of the emails I also asked them to change the date of another assignment for me, which they did, but in their reply just ignored the point about the missing job.

The same thing happened to me last week and they are apparently looking into it. I had a query ticket come up as soon as it was submitted and no one contacted me. All of a sudden it disappeared from my pending payments and know one knows anything about it.0 -

Not worth bothering...particularly with REs 2978 question reports... done quite a few of their pub ones before but at least the meal ones had a decent reimbursement to cover the drinks too.....
I did my first (and last ) job for RE on friday...It's simply not worth the hassle for the pathetic re-imbursement. The questionnaire took bloody forever to fill in! Never again :mad:Saving for a deposit: £11,000 / £50,000 (22%)0 -
