I had a supermarket job booked for this saturday morning just gone. On friday evening I got home to find that my cat had been shot with an air rifle (he's surprisingly ok though, thank god). I had a major panic, and had to get to the vets etc, but finally remembered to cancel the job just before 11pm. I sent a very quick email too, explaining why (as I didn't want them to hold it against me!). Today I received a lovely email from them, saying they were very grateful I took the time to contact them during such a stressful time, and that they really hope my cat is ok.

Quite nice of them, I thought.

Which MS company was this? I once missed a RE assignment due to seeing someone being knocked off his bike on the way to the shop. The person who did it drove off and only one other person stopped to help* so I had to stay and wait for the emergency services and by the time that was done with it was too late to do the shop. I emailed RE that night to let them know and they emailed back saying it was ok to do the job the next day, that they hoped I was ok following the accident and they hoped my week got better. Lovely message I thought.

*This woman wasn't much help. She saw a surgery just around the corner so went to fetch help. She came back with the Dentist and his receptionist! :rotfl:

Handy if the casualty's teeth were knocked out I guess otherwise as much use as a chocolate teapot!
I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box -
  • OMG RE have dropped the fee for the pub jobs by almost half!! Cheek! Before if two of you went the fee and the reimbersment put together covered the cost but now??????? What next?

    TPAx

Next they will need you to pay them for the pleasure of writing the report.

But seriously, if folk will do the jobs for free, why do they need to bother paying us?

I'm getting fed up of the pharmacies though - I keep "un ticking" them but they keep coming back. I would do some just to get rid of them but I don't have a prescription.

The way I see it I get free fuel plus a normal GAP fee and I pay £2 towards fuel I'd be buying anyway.

Oh, the only one I saw didn't have a fee, only reimbursement that meant a £2 los on the purchase.

To be fair, he brought his first aid box which was helpful, and the woman explained afterwards that she'd seen the sign saying "Surgery" and didn't realise it was the wrong kind. It could have been worse I suppose, could have been a vets surgery!

Errr about 6 months now I'd say on that brand. The other brand went elsewhere a while ago, as we know.

Nah, GAP still have 2 fuel shops. The other one was full reimbursement for what they ask you to buy, bar the shop spend iirc.

You do make a loss, but if you consider that you'd be buying fuel anyway, you can count the whole reimbursement as a fee, so they're not too bad. Not as good as the Aba-i ones though.

Monkey, they have always been like that. Well, for at least the past 2.5 years to my knowledge anyway.

But I need petrol for my car so if I'm passing I don't mind doing them. The questionnaires are pretty simple and straightforward so I look on it as free fuel!

Yeah, seems that I've never seen these jobs before (I'd not even done the orientation, so goodness knows how I could see the job!!).
