  • morning all,

a nice easy day for me here, as the spare room just has our wardrobes in it and i did DD's room last week so have nothing to declutter in there, just a quick tidy up and a change of the sheets!
i think i might give our room a quick going over today as well, as i won't be around tomorrow!

i don't plan on making the house really tidy either for DH tomorrow, i plan on leaving ALL the washing up(and making sure there is loads of it :rotfl:) ii am not going to hoover the LR or sweep the kitchen either, just so i can see how much he will do - i know he won't wash any clothes, iron or cook either so what will he do? i know he is planning on taking DD to town on the bus(should be fun, he ain't been on a bus for 4 yrs!) and she has already asked if she can go to mcd's for her dinner!
i will not be impressed if i come home tomorrow and the house is exactly how i left it, that will really **** me off especially after the day i will have had

what do you all think, am i being unreasonable?

Rosepink - Just read your last post.. and it rang an alarm bell of something i heard a while ago so after a quick bit of googling.... please read these first before doing anymore...

    http://www.myfinances.co.uk/news/mortgages/buy-to-let-mortgages/gumtree-renters-warned-of-deposit-money-transfer-scam-$1306485.htm

I'm not saying it IS a scam.... but since hes asking you to prove you can afford it i just thought id point you in direction of these links first.. i hope to god im sooo wrong... i really do.... and i hope you have just struck on a good deal. I know you said your aware it could be a hoax etc.. so hope your not offended in me posting these. :o

Im just a cynical old bag lately... (at 23! :rotfl:)

Thanks Johanne, I really appreciate the links. The second one was ringing alarm bells as he has mentioned he is in Italy and finds it hard to get back and wants to be sure we have the funds before he comes over...we have been proceeding with caution throughout and will continue to do so. Thanks so much as now I know what to watch out for. Will report him to the police and Gumtree if there is anything dodgy. Thanks love! I still hope it will turn out to be genuine but throughout the whole thing I've been thinking it's too good to be true!

Big hugs Soappie, really hope you start to feel better in time for Saturday

Dusty, I know what you mean about treading carefully on the earth. I do everything I can to recycle and I felt very guilty about throwing the computer monitor in the bin, but had no choice at the time unfortunately. I do recycle a lot tho and reuse paper/envelopes etc before recycling them! If I can write a shopping list on it before recycling it, it gets written on!

Elf, I would do baked potatoes, as wouldn’t the potato skewers be too soft and disintegrate?

Grateful your recycle shop sounds wonderful! What a great idea!

I'm ever so tired today. I wanted to go to bed at 10pm but DH said he had to have a bath so I decided to watch Ugly Betty. By 11:15 he was out of the bath and settling down to his computer game again. I begged him to come to bed soon as I was shattered and commented (nicely not crossly) that he seems to be playing his game all the time at the moment and that we rarely talk because he has his nose to the screen constantly. He came to bed at 12:15 by which time I had a splitting headache and was on the verge of exhausted tears. He did apologise and massage my neck for me.

I don't begrudge the man his relaxation - he obviously loves this game he plays - he gets up early in the morning to play, rushes home from work to play, plays til late at night - but I wish he would be a bit more balanced about it.

Do you think I am being unreasonable? I've not said anything until now as I know he needs to relax and it's the only one of his hobbies that is free!

I'd better crack on - got my support worker coming and need to have a bath, tidy LR and do a whole bunch of things before she comes at 12:30. All I want to do is go back to bed!
