Oh Frodders - have you had rough weather over night? I'm hearing of bad flooding your way on the radio...

Errr - not that I'm aware of and it looks ok outside. Quite bright and sunny at the mo and blue sky!

Anyway, am just off to London and popped in to say

Triker - hugs and prayers for you today; hope doc can help x

Might be on later - if not, see you tomorrow.

  • Its very interesting, this recycling debate. There is such variation in what councils will recycle.
We have a junk shop called, with great originality, "the recycle" where we can take old anything, and someone will buy it...
soappie I'm amazed one can put smoke detectors in landfill, they contain radioactive isotopes with a half life of about two thousand years...and greenbee I was teacher-training a vet a couple of years back who was telling me about tantalum running out. Very interesting. God bless her, though, how she ever made it through vet school, I don't know, she didn't know what pH value was neutral...hard to be a vet and not know that!

Sorry, I'm wittering...fedupandskint gentle hugs to your poorly doggle.

    Hi All :hello:

Just popping in briefly to say Hi  We're back from the torture of my Mother's caravan. :j :j :j I'm not doing it again. It's way too hard to be called a "holiday"

Anyway... off to work today... really looking forward to it. Was gutted to miss work last week with that filthy cold.

So, hope everyone's well and relatively cheerful today. (((hugs))) to anyone that needs or wants one.

    See y'all later :D

Morning everyone, am up bright and earlyish for me..lol. Have just rung the vets and spoken to the vet, thankfully it is before there morning appts so I actually got the head vet who is a lovely guy and I would trust with my animals lives. Anyway he said it sounds like lodger cat might have a fever as he isn't showing any other signs of discomfort apart from sleeping, lethargy and not eating/drinking etc.. But to be on the safe side I am to take him in for a full medical this morning and hopefully should just come out with some antibiotics - fingers crossed this is the case as I really can't afford anything too expensive..lol. As for lodger cat he has got off the fridge and is now sitting on the windowsill, still looking sorry for himself, but looking outside. And he did perk up when I went in the kitchen but didn't eat the ham I waved at him. Oh and he shouldn't be that piddled off about the extra dog, mainly they just get the hump and eat less for a couple of days then go back to normal..so that is a red herring as the vet put.. I don't think I am going to be lodger cats best friend today after putting him in his carrier, and taking him to vets..he was already giving me daggers and frowning at me last night, after his force feeding session, he didn't want me to say goodnight to him either, he turned his back on me..lol

Soappie glad you are feeling better today but shame about the voice, but then you don't need a voice on here do you..hehehe so you can chat away on here..lol
Rose I have just read the links Johanne posted and thought "oooh scary", hope you aren't victim to one of these scams hon. If it is genuine then the flat sounds really nice for you..
Triker hugs hon, hope the docs can come up with something for you. I was in the process of writing you a pm but will send it later as time ran out..story of my life..lol

Who was it mentioned a pc for Toots, as I have lots of bits and bobs to a pc in my spare room plus a tower unit - I did build them when I wanted to upgrade but since the laptops the bits have just sat there collecting dust. I would happily build a pc for toots out of all the odds and bits I have..

Ooops better get showered, have to be out of here in 20 mins..

I had thought of pots but I was thinking about par boiling them then doing skewars with pot then a mini chilli then pot then chilli (you get the idea) what do you think??
If I was to do 'baked' pots roughly how long would they take?? My BBQ is quite small.....

Potato skewers? Not sure about them. With the baked pots i would nuke them in the microwave first then pop them on the barbie for about half an hour or so.

No children in this household, so a virtual day off over here! I might have to re-wash everything that got soaked in yesterday’s downpour though! And since my OH did the washing up for the first time in the 7 years I’ve known him last night, I will vacuum the floors too!
