I watched Man On Wire whilst doing yet more stitching (nearly done though!) and have just ordered a couple of things so can cross one item off my list already :D

cardiff - I only manage about 8 items in HHI; and congrats on the new job

    Farenheit and purpledreams - welcome

Triker - so glad you got to have your meal out; hope you continue to improve x

kazw - thanks for the link; will have a quick look before bed

I saw Duran Duran a few years ago - will that do?!!

I am going for a quick look at Amazon and then heading up to bed.

    Night all, sleep well xx

    I'm in again.
Thanks to Pigpen & Soappie for all your hard work. (Soappie, look after yourself, you need to be on top form for the wedding).
Welcome to all newbies & returners.
Get well vibes to all those who are in need.

  • Hi everyone. Had a busy weekend so I've not been on for a few days. But I'm in again this week. Flying will have to be worked on throughout the day as I've got 2 extra children tomorrow from 9am. Will have N (age 11), A (my DD1, 6), R (4) and L (my DD2, 2). Fortunately N is like a little nanny to L so its actually quite a help having her.

    See you all tomorrow. xx

She has to get rid of all the clutter too, so they have nowhere to hide... I keep mine in baskets rather than dotted around the rooms.
I thought you meant you keep the conkers or the spiders in baskets!
On another website I go on, this is called a snowflake! I've no idea why!
Cardiff bloke, I am originally from there, grew up in Pentrebane & Ely

    What's called a snowflake?

Welcome Cardiff and Ishtar and JTB and Farenheit and Purple Dreams and all other newbies that I didn’t welcome last week – sorry I missed you but didn’t manage to read all the thread last week, it’s nothing personal promise! Welcome. Our usual meeter and greeter is off sick at the mo, so just ask any questions you might have as we will all try to help. Have a good read of posts 1-3 as that will really help you to get off to a good start, and don’t try to do too much at once, just take babysteps to start with

    Hugs Dolly

Ladies, I’m shocked at you all rushing off to put on makeup and false eyelashes and do your hair just because a man happens to wander onto the thread. Don’t you always have full make up on and your nails done and your hair done? I’m sitting here in my usual attire of a ball gown and feather boa! With diamond encrusted marigolds on my hands to protect my false nails when I’m flying of course!

Triker, glad you had a good evening out, shame about the [Rosepink’s word for an idiot] on the way home. What does it matter to him what speed you walk? And I hate it when people make comments when they don’t know your circumstances, it’s like when people say “cheer up it might never happen.” A bus driver said that to me once when my grandma had just died and I felt like belting him and saying “actually it already has happened you plonker”

    Yeah me too!

I'd better tear myself away from the computer and go to bed, have had a happy few minutes listening to Mellow Magic on the radio, which has reminded me of when I used to drive home late at night having spent the day with DH (before he was DH) and listen mellow magic on the radio. They play lovely romantic songs and it always fitted my mood! Happy memories...

    Night night lovely flypeople
