If you're paying someone, or an account, you've paid before don't they just use your payee details? Or do they take the numbers over the phone? (Appreciate you may not know, not having registered for telephone banking). The former is obviously preferable, but I'd be a little nervous about the latter. It's only £500 via phone banking? Blimey!
The impression I got was that they are totally separate enities which is why they don't use yr online password/mem details etc so I'd be surprised if they can access anything you've setup online - but maybe someone can enlighten us.

LTSB on-line only does FP to £500

Actually, having just checked the LTSB website, it appears that telephone banking is now the ONLY way to send a FP.
There was a previous thread running about FP transfer limits, so I did a check last month and i could send £500 FP online (but not same day) but not £600 so deduced that there was then a "£500 limit - though LTSB appear not to want to confirm any figures either online or telephone - so it could all have changed again this month.

I wanted to pay £5000 from my LTSB current account to another payee (on my list). Knowing it wouldn't happen FP (which I wanted) by internet, I phoned and asked for £500 to go intending to follow it ASAP with more. While the guy was button pressing I mentioned I actually wanted £5000 to go. He was then able to do consecutive FPs making up £5000 in total. Not a Sunday though, a Monday.

Several months ago I transferred £500 from LTSB online to Saga, and although it didn't go on the day and it got scheduled for the next day, when I checked that next day the amount had gone from LTSB OK. What was surprising was I checked the Saga account that day to see it credited, being marked "Bank Credit FASTER PMT - STO". So a bit of both but not properly fast in the latter case and only £500.

Interesting. I wanted to transfer some money quickly to NBS when their 5% bond was still open. I was told that I could only make one £500 FP per recipient per day

Time someone provided LTSB staff with a hymnsheet to sing from.
    - Just look at all the different stories people had about Vantage accounts.

Isnt there a "LTSBBankManger" on here who could enlighten us - don't remember ever seeing one..

Why didn' t you use one of your other LTSB accounts for the £100 ( instant transfer) so that the £600 gets to the destination at the same time?
Cos I'd have to faff around setting up the recipient as a new payee on the other account, and the new "we'll call you back" security which just p****s me off -

Anyway sorted via Natwest with no problem.

I've looked but can't find it on the LLoyds website - do you have the link please?
