    I use it at work if i forget to add an attachment i can recall it then re-send and i believe that it stops the person opening it if they haven't already done so......

    I'm a bit miffed as to why they would want to recall it
    In for a penny in for a pound :j
  • That's a really nice email from Richard Baker's office, no idea why they would recall it, it's possible they're just tinkering with it or just made a mistake - given what is written though, I think that's hugely positive whether it's been recalled or not.

    I never imagined I would be championing an idea, all I'm doing is trying to protect my future, my family's future, and help others to do the same. It is all of you who are the real people with power, all I've done is given a little nudge to getting things formally organised.

    I couldn't have done any of this without all of you, and I feel although it is early days, we have all made excellent in-roads. This is the start, it's where things get fun, it's about giving all those organisations who treat you like dirt a little taste of their own medicine to say they absolutely cannot keep treating bankrupts how they do now for the rest of their lives.

    I've had a note from Martin also to say he will get one of his team to have a look. Let's keep the ball rolling, lots more writing to be done, we're going to win this one and what a result we will get.

    I have now written an email to my MP so I'll wait to see what response I get. I intend to send a similar email to my local councillors as well.

    Please vote if you intend doing so at the top of the page.!

  • So what's the latest on this with people, are you all still firing off letters? My keyboard doesn't know what has hit it at the moment the amount of letters I'm writing on this topic.

    Thank you for your correspondence addressed to the Mayor of London requesting a change in law for bankruptcies, which we received on 04 August 2009.

    Unfortunately we are unable to offer any assistance on the matter as law changes do not fit into the remit area of the Mayor.

    Law changes are in the remit area of the National Government. For further information, and to contact the necessary organisation please visit;

    Yours sincerely

    You could perhaps say thanks for the reply, and ask if it isn't in the mayoral remit, would it be possible to give a general view on the topic and ask if the mayor can lobby relevant contacts on your behalf?

    IMHO very poor showing from the Mayor's office - I wrote to my local Councillor by mistake (after realising that they don't actually really do anything, and don't get paid to do anything) but he wrote back and said he would make my feelings known to the local Lib Dem party people and see what they could do as he agreed it was a shocking situation.

    My local MP's sec. has written back and said when she gets back off hols she'll look into it for me and haven't had any responses at all from any of the (many) Lords or MEP's I've contacted :(

    Oh well, will keep trying - am trying to email as many Lords as I can to be honest :)
    Do not feed the trolls please.
