  • Yeah I find that with Lightspeed sometimes. I used to be able to do them at work but it's blocked now.

Bad news on the work front. We might be losing our jobs. If I keep my job, I get promoted. If I lose my job...well, I lose my job. Stressssss. I've asked HR for a chat but they're not replying.
I have also had an argument with my boyfriend and we're not talking.

    Bad times.

Hopefully this new threat of redundancy will help me curb my food spending?

Awwhh, sorry to hear about your job, maybe you will be ok though, fingers crossed.

Hope you made up with your bf too.

    xx
  • Hope everythng works out with your job, it's awful when you don't know what's going to happen

  • Thanks everyone :) I had a bit of a downer today, went to ikea to buy some lightbulbs and there was LOADS of people in there buying all nice furniture and I got all upset and jealous and feeling sorry for myself because I wanted a house to buy furniture for!
Luckily though I have made up with my boyfriend and we sat in the car park while he pointed out all these people saying "I bet they're wearing their best clothes out today, in their car they got on finance, buying a cheap table for a house they can barely afford...at least you have got your parents house to live in and your debt is miniscule compared to theirs" which made me feel loads better :)
Then we went to a little farm shop near a canal and he bought me an ice cream and we sat and watched the boats for a bit in the sunshine, nice :)

Now we're back home so I'm gonna go on the sims and build a house and pretend it's mine. Haha.

Hope everyone's having a good sunny weekend!
    xxx
  • Cat news:
My kitten, Mike, who was previously black and white, has come home black and grey. He looks like he's been swimming in a pool of oil. I'm going to attempt to take a picture of him, if he'll keep still for long enough
He is making no attempt to clean himself either! Spent 10 minutes licking his bum but ignored his dirty legs. Silly thing :)

Here's Mike with his dirty feet. I had to wait 'til he had his dinner because that's the only time he stays still! You can see him giving me a suspicious stare in the 2nd pic.

In cat news, I have been bought a MASSIVE dead spider. I'm not talking a house spider, I'm talking you'd-come-across-it-in-a-rainforest spider. MASSIVE!!! I'm glad it was dead, if I'd have seen it alive I probably would have moved out. Oh my god. Huge. Like, it would have fit on the numerical keypad part of a keyboard easily kind of huge. And that isn't an exageration (I have no idea how to spell that word). It. Was. Huge.
No wonder they didn't eat it, yuck.

I loved "In cat news..." :D

They didn't eat it themselves because they lurve you so much they wanted you to have it. Or summat. Either way, it made me :rotfl:

Hope the job thing settles down in your favour.

    ETA : awwwww, cute kittehs!
  • I have got a dilemma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just been offered a job, closer to home, that's 15k a year
    I am currently on 16.5k a year
If I get promoted I'm on at least 19k a year...

...but I don't know if I will keep my job long enough to get promoted...I tried very hard today to get answers out of the HR department, they told me not to listen to any rumours. My boss told me he reckons we'll have a job for another 2 weeks, max, but he's a cynic.....

    WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO:confused::confused:
  • Well,

My department has been called to a meeting with the GM tomorrow afternoon. Uh-oh! But tomorrow early afternoon I have got a job interview lol.

So things are working out a little bit. Unless I lose my current job and don't get this new job. Hmmm. Let's not worry about that for now.

    In cat news:
I had a dead bird last night as a present

Is the offered job that's closer to home *good enough* to make up for the loss of salary? I.e. would it save you that much in transport cost/time/feel good factor?

Reading your last post I just hope it all works out and you end up with a job you want to do
