And yay for your MSE ways rubbing of on to BF!! LOL
Well done on a nice cheap weekend. It's a great feeling isn't it?! Keep up the good work.
    P

Lol I feel like I have my own personal cheerleader
    Yay for encouragement :D
  • It was payday yesterday, woohooo. Time for me to update my spending diary/debt/saving spreadsheet and my signature. My spending diary has shown me how much I spend on cat food and petrol and other such things so I know almost exactly how much my outgoings will be for this month.

Not much to report really. I'm gonna try to not spend much money this weekend, might treat myself to a McDonalds if the mood strikes me (but will get boyfriend to pay his half this time!)
I had a jacket potato as a payday treat at work today. Oooohhhh they are so nice when you don't have them all the time *salivates*
  • Nearing the end of the weekend again, doesn't time fly when you're having fun? Hope everyone had a good'un

My "don't spend money on food" rule went out the window. We had a McDonalds breakfast Saturday morning and a carvery Saturday evening. But oohhhooooooh the carvery was nice. We spent the day driving around Wales, what a breathtakingly beautiful place! We went down to some lakes that started with E, then went to a place called Devil's Bridge. Very nice!

To make up for these spends on meals though I had dinner at home on Friday night and went out late, rather than going out straight from work then buying a takeaway. And today we had dinner at my boyfriend's Mum's house. Very nice. 2 roast dinners in 2 days, not bad!

I've finally got enough points on pigsback.com to get a £10 amazon voucher:j
Just spend some of my free scratchcard money on TAB bingo on some bingo tickets *fingers crossed*

Oh, more cat news. Phillip bought me a baby bat home on Friday night. Poor little thing :-( I wanted to save it but it couldn't fly so I had to just leave it flapping around, sad :-(

    Hello

    How's things going!

    P
  • Things are going quite well thanks :)
I went to a VW event yesterday with my friends from work. Managed to spend £60 (on what I do not know?! but I do have a rather fetching scarf). I have survived on sweets and cheeseburgers for the past 3 days, I'm craving vegetables like you wouldn't believe.

On the money front, things are looking quite good. I've not gone into my overdraft yet and I'm 1/3 of the way through my month so that is pleasing.

Oh but I do have to fork out £60 for a hotel in a couple of weeks. It's a relative's birthday who lives ages away from us so we have to stay in a hotel or face a lengthy drive home late at night after the party. Should be good fun though :)

Ohhh yes and there is a promotion on the cards for me at work...but it is very early stages and it depends on somebody leaving and we're not sure if she will or not yet. Fingers crossed.

Oh good luck with the promotion - more money for debts and/or car. Fingers crossed on that front. Glad you enjoyed your weekend.

You are doing really well! :T

  • I thought I was doing really well, just updated my spending diary and this is shocking:

I have spent £70 on food in 10 days.

    HOW???

By rights I should be obese. How I am still 8 stone I do not know? I must be very very unhealthy on the inside because I never exercise.

Right. From now on I am NOT buying any more McDonalds, I will always carry things in my handbag to snack on.

But looking on the bright side, over the past 10 days I have made lots of happy memories. Day trip with boyfriend, camping with best friends, McDonalds breakfast at work (mmmm) BUT NO MORE MCDONALDS. I'm gonna hypnotise myself into believing I hate fast food. That'll work.

Oh well at least I am not in my overdraft yet :)

I don't want to enable you, but have you thought of signing up for gapbusters mystery shopping and doing MaccyD mystery shops?! get to eat the food for free! they don't pay well, but better than paying for the food yourself! I tell everyone I hate fast food, but a maccy D breakfast is one of my guilty pleasures - have a mystery shop for one booked for the weekend ;-) I was 8 stone once - beware, your metabolism eventually catches up with you as it turns out! Enjoy it whilst it doesn't ;-)

Good luck for the promotion! I'd hope for one meself, but I've only been there a month :rotfl:

You've been very busy since I last popped in :)

Congrats on getting so much of your debt paid off, you're doing very well!

You have had quite a few things on, so try not to beat yourself up over the odd fast food excursion etc. I had my first McDonalds in six months or more the other day and it tasted like carp - really can't see how anyone could be addicted to it...

Fingers x'ed for the promotion, nothing says 'yay' like a more important post (and a bigger payslip!)
