Well still not had a reply, guess it's time to send another message but what do I say? Do i just outright demand a refund, ask politely, ask what they plan to do to resolve this, threaten a neg? Arghhhhhh wish she'd given some reply to give me a clue.
I know it's not a big issue but tis blooming annoying

I would not do that, she can report you.
Just email again, and if she doesn't reply to the next email i'd just neg her as a warning for others.

i've recently found myself in a very similar situation. charged £1.50 for postage and a normal 1st class stamp (39p) was put on for a letter when it was a large letter.

i had to pay £1 charge plus the difference. also, there were 2 out of approx 30 items missing - not essential, but i had paid over £10 in the first place.

i have emailed 3 times with no response and really can't decide whether to leave it or open a dispute - really to protect other buyers in the future.

    what do you guys think?

    Finally got a reply today
"hi i don`t get y u have to pay for this item.i have send item to lots of people and they get the item as i put 1st class stamp no problem for them.you must not be at home to collect it thats y u paid to collect from ur post office.ok never mind i am refunding u happy.plz leave possitive feedback.many thanks"
hmmmmmmmm very tempted to reply and say er no that's no why I had to pay but I won't:rolleyes:
he also refunded the £1.40 with the message "hi i am refunding u. i payed for stamp as well u got it free.ok happy"
Pleased to get the refund, I'm still out of pocket but so are they.
Now for the feedback.......won't be a neg as they did sort it but loathe to leave a positive so guess it's a factual neutral

You could always just not leave any feedback. His grasp of the English language is very poor

I'd be tempted to leave a neg just for the shocking "txt spk" ;)

If it were me I would reply explaining exactly why you had to pay the fee (because he/she clearly hasn't "got" it have they?) and possibly politely suggesting they use the correct postage in future to ensure this doesn't happen again. Not sure about FB though....... probably wouldn't leave any actually.
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that :p

  • I sold something on E-bay at christmas, took it to the post office and had it weighed, I also had proof of posting. Buyer e-mailed me to say she had to collect it from main office because it did not have correct postage. This was the fault of the post office I used and I no longer use this office but the item was such a small amount i just swallowed the loss. This could just be the post office's way of getting more money from us! i no longer sell on E-bay.

I definitely wouldn't leave positive feedback after those messages you've had from him! "ok happy" - like you're being unreasonable or something! And also for the terrible text speak!

I would be inclined to reply and explain why you had to pay, that it was nothing to do with you being out! Good god is he really that dim or is he just pretending?

Personally I would leave no feedback at all or a carefully worded neutral for these reasons....
~ You didn't get your full £1.69 back
~ Seller has the cheek to assume then go on to tell you they think you were charged to collect because you weren't in, not because they hadn't put on enough stamps.
    ~ Messages in text speak
~ Keep saying 'happy' which I read as 'happy now?'
~ He has asked for positive feedback

I certainly wouldn't leave a pos with the facts because who reads positives?
