Hey,
On a lighter note, I have gotten good deals on this website, so I thought it will be nice to share this, I walked into a Gap store and asked when they are having the next discount sale, the lady at the counter gave me a leaflet which said '30% OFF FULL PRICE GOODS FROM 10TH - 13 SEPT 2009. I don't know if this is available to everyone but i think its worth trying if you are trying to get Cardis/jumpers/coat or kids stuff for the autumn and winter.
I hope every bargain hunter like me gets to see this.

I'm going out now so I think we should wait for more peeps to post their opinions and suggestions tonight then be decisive!, I was going to make a poll but then thought better of it;).
First I want to thank PC for all your hard work on the first page. I personally would like the 1st few posts to be updated just for the pure fact that it is taking me days to catch up on the all the post so unless we stick to putting all vital information in bold blue I for one would want the first page updated regularly. I think whoever is keeping the first page updated should be able to have the final say in what is put on the 1st few posts, after all it is their name on the post. Also I think it would be a big help to everyone if anyone has a "beef" with someone else then they should stick to PMing each other and leave the rest of us out of their squabble, which won't take up so many post to have to read through! And finally, I'd be very happy to have you stay PC if things can be sorted out to your satisfaction, I think you do a great job! You are definitely doing Lori and the rest of us proud!!.Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -

Ask why they don't seem to be aware of the Corporate Coupon Policy that Tesco have in place? If she asks what that is (lol!) produce the wording printed out from page one (with a flourish from your handbag!) and don't feel you have to apologise for getting it from a forum. It's CORRECT and it's CURRENT, and there is nowhere else a customer could get the info except from a staff member.
If she says 'not in this store' or 'never heard of it!' then ask in a fiendly but surprised way, how long she has been a CSM? If she's been in the job since 2007 she would have been sent the CSM Daily Update in June 2007 which CLEARLY stated to all stores, the coupon policy we know and love. Quote that update to her (not sure when in June, think it was later in the month...).
If she blusters that it's changed since then, insist politely that you know it has not, tell her further updates have been issued since, has she missed them somehow??! And say you spoke to Dundee last week (even tho you didn't) and that the policy is as you have it.
Finally if she calls Dundee in front of you and gets a call centre employee who doesn't know the policy, interrupt politely and ask her to speak to a supervisor there as you KNOW the policy is correct. Often Dundee get it wrong and you have to ask to speak to someone else who isn't just trying to agree with the store 'cos they don't know an answer...

Hi Thanks Coupon Mad for all your hard work. It will come in handy for me as well as my local store has also come down to 1 coupon per transaction from yesterday.
And all these tips give courage to fight for coupons in "systematic" way.
Actually my local store is so small T Metro and all the staff now know me by face as i am always fighting for coupons and of course they don't like me for that reason....
And sometimes that gives me awkward feeling to talk to the DM to convince the Coupon policy...:rolleyes:0 -
hillybilly22 wrote: »To me, genuine coupon user = people who know the tesco policy inside-out and hand over wads of coupons at the Tesco checkout, for which tesco will receive reimbursement from the manufacturers.
The fact that Tesco accept the coupons, against the wrong product, is an argument between Tesco and the manufacturers.
Most people on this thread want to preserve the T policy (irrespective of whether or not that policy is morally wrong).
My view is that the mag coupons will be a loss to store and as such should not be used in Ts, neither should anyone encourage others to use them in Ts. Many posters on this thread have expressed the same view, hence it's removal from page one.
Bham Dave, on the other hand, has a different opinion - fine, I respect your view, but let's at least acknowledge that nobody is supporting or matching it.
You took the words out of my mouth!!!:TMurphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -

Are you in Derbyshire? They just got scammed by multi internet coupons they couldn't get the money back on (Clowne store was mentioned but I am certain others would have been hit as well).
No, am in Cambridgeshire, I guess people have been abusing the system and annoyed the managers. They'll probably change their mind again and accept them in a couple of weeks anyway0 -
