I commented after printing the 3 C&G MOC's that I'm not keen on the free product 000 barcode ones as they have to get someone to go and check the price, he said well buy one and use 2 MOC'S, I replied it would be a waste as our toddler won't drink it, get ready here it comes..... his reply was keep it for an emergency if I run out of milk to put it in my tea:eek::eek::eek::eek:Mad has a tin of dried skimmed milk for his coffee incase he runs out of the fresh stuff

New ones have £3 coupons in, so pay £1 after coupon, all the grief getting rid of them say £2..... to gain £1 and £1 swimmers coupon....SIMPLES!0 -

Blocking of coupons is done centrally, not by Managers instore. But I don't know why it takes the central team so long to act sometimes to make that change to the tills.
The same thing happened when people were abusing the Daily Mail Book tokens. Managers & Supervisors in many stores were saying 'no' to them if asked (and the token t&cs and the relevant website showed they were only for retailers which sold National Book tokens). This was well communicated by regular posters and known to all who read MSE coupon threads.
But there were still posters who took a 'head in the sand' attitude and contuinued to hammer them until T finally blocked them (months later). And no doubt there are still idiots reading this right now who are using the magazine ones in spite of there not being a cat in hell's chance of T being able to redeem any more of these after recent abuse.
If anyone has any of these in their coupon wallet get them binned now, please. We don't need any more reports of stores having to stop accepting coupons. Each time, no doubt, such abuse is being reported to HO - and several irate Store Manager reports on those lines could soon end the whole flippin' policy!
P.S. Can't believe it's Clowne store again BTW. Having already had their fingers burnt in the past with coupons you would have thought they wouldn't have been such a pushover for scammers.:mad:
Coupons can be blocked at store level. One of the jobs I had to quit to move here to the UK (I had 3 jobs) I was an Inventory Control Specialist (fancy title) for a store and I was responsible for making sure all the products in the store were priced right according to the store's head office, which basically meant I changed the prices in the computer so they scanned at the correct price. This is done at store level (not all stores sell the same items for the same price due to demographics) therefore they can easily block coupons from their system so they won't scan.Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -
