I think for the sake of all involved... magazine coupons should not be put on this thread unless they are couponnet style ones.
Quite clearly the ability to print 10 quid worth of mag coupons instantly in multiple numbers has led to idiots ruining the polic for the rest of us. I for one didnt use any of them and ignored the link anyways.
I hear a few stores have banned internet coupons... and if they havent you should think yourselves lucky. Coupouning isnt a right its a bonus for us all.. and we should be aware that it could be pulled at any moment.
Treat it with respect and itll treat you with respect.... this means as a community we may have to make decisions like that in future... No Mag coupons and no fake coupons (like pampers one) in future. Its quite clear theres tons of lurkers on this thread who dont join MSE... but just leech the information from the front sheet for a 'cheap' gain.0 -
Very True...!!!!!!! neas....
I too had asked about those magazine coupons but never ever dared to use it in T as did not want to risk the policy for few PDF coupons.
cheers,

My sentiments entirely - like I have said previously I have never used the magazine ones myself but could see that they could be open to abuse.0 -
Morning all
Quick question please:-
What is the best way to use a % off coupon?
For example:
Couponstar Nature Babycare Nappies MOC is for 50% off (up to £3 off). Barcode ends 150005.
I think the SA has to enter the amount? So is it best to take the product with you to the checkout, eventhough you've no intention of buying it?
I've checked the front pages for the answer to this question and couldn't find anything. So if you're sure you know the answer, you might wish to post in blue so it may be added to first pages.
Thanks in advance.

My apology for giving you false hope, the short subscription (the one I previously posted ie : 3 issues for £1) will not have the extra GFS lounge voucher.
edited : now that Hillybilly22 posted, my apology again as I am all muddled up!!! its from one of the magazine any way....
The one that you requested for free issue (maybe 3/4 weeks ago )will have the extra GFS lounge voucher on the address paper cover.
That is why I have duplicate magazines (I susbcribe as well as called & request the Oct issue).RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

The short 3-month subscription for 3 issues for £1 each is the one I have subscribed to, having followed your very useful post on the tip a few months ago.
I have received two GFS lounge vouchers from this subscription, one in the mag itself and one enclosed within the pack (might have been on the address paper cover, can't remember, think it's card, not paper).
So no need for!

Ditto all the above.
Afetr the discussion about the Diver mags, I didn't even open any of the mag links, either.
One of my local SAs has told me that he aks everyone with printables, if they come on this site now, and if they do, he tells them that they should know better.
The majority then put the coupon away, so the message is getting across, unfortunately, short term greed, looks to be too powerful for too many page 1 readers.
Perhaps, as the thread got too long and unweildy for Honey, and now PC appears to have had enough, we should just let the first page become outdated, as that way anyone wanting the details would at least have to read, even if they still won't contribute.
I know this will probably be like stirring a hornets nest, as many genuine couponners are time constarined, but it MAY help retain the policy for a while longer.
Please remember to at least be CIVIL when you disagree with this idea:rolleyes::beer:It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)

So for the point of clarity, I'll cover both.
Many percentage off coupons willl scan at the till with a cash amount...eg the whiskas 25% off =£1.93 and the whiskas 25% is 31p
For coupons which have 3 of the last 4 digits as a zero, as in your example...the SA would have to key in the amount.
Generally, I don't use these ones, but many folk will do one of the following:-
1)buy the product at least once, so they have the amount on a receipt in their purse/wallet,
2) some will bring the product to the till, in which case some-one has to return it, and
3)some will print off the item, with it's price from Tesco.com.
4) some will just tell the SA the price, and hope they don't ask for the product to be brought to the till to be checkedIt's nice to be nice .....

Re PC and Honey - the thread as VC rightly says has gotten very long and it must be a nightmare to try and keep up with everything and update it. We should do our best to try and help mods etc and maybe limit the number of posts a little to make their job a little easier. I'm very sorry that PC wants to step down - she does a fantastic job as did Honey and just hope the volume of posts didn't play a major part in her decision.
Something else I meant to post on was re newbies. Could there possibly be a section where all newbies could read (hopefully)!! up on re moc use? This would hopefully cut down on the so many times repeated questions that add to the volume of posts. Newbies obviously want to gain as much as possible from the thread and moc use and this way would help to keep the thread more concise. Just an idea.0
