No wins in 2 years - what am I doing wrong?

I agree that the more comps you enter, the more likely you are to win something, but what's the point of entering for something you, or someone you care about, doesn't want or need? Isn't that a little odd?
Having said that, it's good I don't win everything I've entered for - what would I do with 100 wii-s? :rotfl:
I really do hope you win something soon - even the little things can be so much fun - my baby nephew adored the mars cricket ball, and this saved the lives of all my houseplants!
Best of luck with all the comps you've entered or will enter, and let us know when you do win.0 -
I enter loads and only seem to win tickets!
I want to win some 'stuff' at some point.0 -
Just keep plugging away, i enter virtually everything on here, only been going just over a month but won tons of mars balls and that's it, but i do know that it is a numbers game and one day i will win something meaningful....
I did get a huge buzz out of winning just a bunch of footballs etc, though, wonder what it feels like to win something major!0 -
I think we can all go through dry spells and the guides are helpful.
i did come across a small article that encouraged me

Biggest Win: £5000
Last Win: 20130 -
I've been comping on here since the beginning of May, i work full time and spend most of my evenings on here and the only things i have won are things that there are lots of, which has kept me happy. I was also lucky to win on pepsi after only 6 ring pulls, but then have entered strongbow religiously on both mine and my partners phones to win nothing. It's swings and roundabouts, to get the prizes you need the time, effort, and a small amount of luckHoping the comping fairy is nice this month and the postman comes.

Last month I won Gardeners World Tickets (£47) and a Night in a Hotel (£100).
I would find it impossible to enter 100 comps a day but enjoy entering the ones I do and a win is wonderful no matter how small.
I would go along with that, only takes me about an hour a day to do about 50 comps a day and I don't expect to win anything, its just a hobby. I don't win that often at all but I have been extremely lucky and have won 2 holidays amongst my wins. Any win is a wonderful surprise but I don't want to spend more than an hour a day doing them, its up to the individual involved. Just put aside the time that you are ok with, see it as a hobby and don't expect to win anything, then if you do, its a lovely bonus!A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
I haven't been doing comps long, but am doing more now thanks to posters on this site mentioning Roboform. I googled it and downloaded, fill in your identity, and then with a click of a button you can fill all your details in, therefore you can enter more competitions. Good luck for the future :j#StaySafeWishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year0

Ive only been entering for a week about 50 a day. I too only enter ones I am intrested in. First prize win yesterday for Rugby ticket worth either £80 or £120 dpending which ones they are.
Comps which are on TV and have high prizes like Golden Balls, GMTV or the Dukes will have many thousands enter so the chances of winning are slim. As other have said try entering ones which less people are likely to enter like those on intrest specific sites, or local ones.
My advice is to persevere but only enter ones you could be intrested in, you will be lucky eventualy and hopefully win a good prize.0 -
I've definitely been paying attention to any Comp title that mentions - : [A Little] Effort Needed - as I think a lot of people, especially the heavy-duty compers who like to get 100 or more comps under their belt each day, probably avoid those (no time!) and I notice these usually get a lot fewer Thanks as fewer people enter them (therefore probabilities of winning get higher). Ironically, those are the comps which I find more interesting to do - they can call for a bit of creativity and in my view break the monotony and boredom of all the "fill a form and submit"- type comps. I really don't mind taking 30mins out of the tedious form-submitting to play a game, create a photo-montage, write a short review or small essay, watch videos and vote on them, take photos and submit them, create a music playlist, or whatever else is required.
Am only new at this so only time will tell if this is a good tactic0
