Just out of interest, has anyone been asked to provide ID yet? Thinking of the majors who won early on and if they have been asked.......0

I rang McVities about one win I had early on and said pregnancy had made me scatty and which code was it, and they said they cannot tell any info from the reference number I had and to send in all the wrappers I thought it could be. I only had 2 to choose from at that stage so not a problem.
Someone else on here had a similar experience and I believe they had to send in 10 !
So either we both got duff advisers, or they really cannot tell which code it is - who does have the job of matching the code to the win I have no idea?
Serendipity - I didnt say they had to wait 28 days. But it could be a possibility unless you now have concrete proof of how McVities works and their processes? I had a win on a Friday evening but didnt get email until early monday morning. So its not as cut and dried as you think.
And I wouldnt have thought prizes could have been allocated again already, unless people have rung up to say they input the wrong code or something along those lines. I was just refering to the message that was on here, I dont know all their personal details.VR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

I said they could feasibly reallocate those wins that broke the new rules not anything else.
If i won £50 then £50 later, the win will clock on their system as someone who has already won so I assume they can reallocate it straight away. They know I can't have it because it breaks the rules.0 -
serendipity - I think you are making a lot of assumptions about how this promotion works.
As far as I know, none of us have a clue how they are monitoring this.
Someone said the adviser stated it wasnt possible to get a second small win after the first, although a user on here has stated they have had more than one small win 'offered' so it doesnt 'block' further wins
Someone said they were told you could disregard a win, someone else said they were told you couldnt disregard it as it was automatically allocated to your details, someone else was told if you didnt claim a prize you may be disqualified, someone else was told if you tried to claim a second prize you may be disqualified.....
I thought the general consensus on here was none of us really know how this is working, or if the system prevents wins, or deselects people, or reallocates wins, or if they even know the code you won on.
If you do know how it works, I would love clarification from someone who has the definite answer.
If you dont, I personally maintain that this competition could be run by blind monkeys - it wouldnt surprise me.
They would have had to make some MAJOR changes to the computing system in place almost overnight in order to restrict and deselect winners. Is that possible? I have no idea - I struggle to tie my own shoelaces at times. I dont have all the answersVR repayment £404 £156.02 PAID

They must know what you type in. Your email address is on the entry form, the same one you use to put the code in, so they must know.0

If McVs contacted me and said send in the whole days wrappers and you can have £250 then I wouldn't think twice. But then I would have only used about 5 that I'd paid for and were sitting in my house.
If you have been swapping or entering lots of codes then it may be more of a problem.
as Evelyn mentioned for people who have bought loads of biscuits, they would have to find the space where to store all those biscuits, it can be tempting once all packets have been opened, and they probably would be going soggy. We might have swapped but we were probably also the biggest purchasers, and I don't usually bin food like this.:rolleyes:0 -
