I'm so confused with this my friend has won £50 does that mean her hubby can't win £50

    WHERE
    THE GOOD LUCK
    CAN FIND YOU
  • I said a while ago about needing your wrappers for a default win, but someone quoted a bit in the T&Cs to do with a final prize draw, taking place on the last day from all entries received. If you win a prize you dont need the wrapper. So they said it would be the same for the default wins. HOWEVER someone has posted on here and said they have received a default win and they do need the wrapper and McVities cant tell them which code it was, but they have to send in EVERY packet to ensure payout !!!

I would quote the relevant bits but there has been that much deleting of posts lately I am lost !

what i cant grasp is the fact that joe blogs buys 20 packs of buiscuits...
enters 2 packs and wins £50...next day enters say 3 code and it comes up congratulations you have won £50..but actually he hasnt because hes already won:rolleyes:

so mcvities are saying that their computer knows youve already won £50, so if thats the case why is it letting you win again:confused:
then they are saying that the if you win its an automatic claim as they have your details:confused:but you cant claim:confused:

i think they are calling our bluff!

ive sent them a lovely email;) :rolleyes:just waiting for a reply:D
R.I.P TO THE MOST AMAZING MAN PUT ON THIS EARTH! MY DAD XX 13/03/2010 love and miss you so much xxjan wins, uki goodies, necklace, case wkd, thomas goodies, sterilizer, 2 pairs boot, earings
  • I think if you kept winning £50's you wouldnt be entitled to these, they would end up at the end of the promo being reassigned to the nearest code inputter at the time, for which you would need to dig out the wrapper for the mystery time and date and therefore no one would probably qualify for the reassigned prize.
You may not need the wrapper if that situation arose - there's an extra draw at the end of the promo and the T&Cs say if you win you don't need it...:

From 12th October until 30th April 2010 all entries will go into a special draw. 50 additional cash prizes will be available to be won, : Major prizes: 1 x £1,000 prize, 2 x £500 prizes, 2 x £250 prizes, 5 x £100 prizes, and the following minor prizes 40 x £50 prizes. Entrants to the late prize draw will not need to retain their pack to claim.

    Thats one of the bits

  • I don't see the problem with sending all the wrappers in. You've used the codes and lost with them so they are no use to you.

If McVs contacted me and said send in the whole days wrappers and you can have £250 then I wouldn't think twice. But then I would have only used about 5 that I'd paid for and were sitting in my house.

If you have been swapping or entering lots of codes then it may be more of a problem.

They might not contact you on the day - it could be 28 days after.

I dont know many 'normal' consumers who would enter a code, get an unlucky page, and then proceed to keep empty wrappers in the cupboard for a month just in case !

As you say, they have lost and are of no use to you anymore so why keep them?

So will redraw prizes have to be redrawn again and again until they find Mrs Ticklebum who has kept her one packet in the cupboard just in case?

omg, I have no idea where I would put all the biscuits if I had to empty each days packets, I got a couple of tins but they only hold 2 packs, I'd have to use sandwich bags or something.
