  • I think if you kept winning £50's you wouldnt be entitled to these, they would end up at the end of the promo being reassigned to the nearest code inputter at the time, for which you would need to dig out the wrapper for the mystery time and date and therefore no one would probably qualify for the reassigned prize.

Rubbish. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I'm pretty sure all the money we have won already has to be paid as it says from 1st September. So, as I have only won a minor prize in my name and none in my OH I guess I'm better off entering codes in their name in case I win another £50. I'm wondering if the person on here causing a bit of bother the other day had something to do with this...
Yes i think we are all thinking of the same person, why spoil people's fun, god were not robbing the world's poor for god's sake, if they do not honour my wins i will never buy anything from mcvities again, ever.
  • No one knows Wayne !

My first thoughts are before 1st Sept, they may honour 10 minor and 10 major wins as an example. From the 1st Sept, you can only win £50 and one major prize for the duration of the remaining time of the promo/comp.

  • Has the site went down for anyone else?
Mummy to Leeland 5, Lakota 4, Lennox 1 and expecting non id twins March 2011.
  • I think we should carry on you are bound by the terms and conditions on the wrapper you are sending surely, and until they print new t & c on wrappers do they legally have a leg to stand on.

You have to go to the website to enter and it directs you to the T & Cs. You have to tick that you have read them before you submit, so you can't claim that you didn't see them.

I know I said I was too scared by the T & Cs to share codes, but now, even though I have stuck blindly to the rules I am being punished too.
I haven't won anything yet but have bought plenty of biscuits. Does this mean I shouldn't bother claiming unless I win the £1000?

They are going to have masses of unclaimed wins as people plough through the £50 wins that they can't keep. Then the rules say they will reallocate if they are not claimed and it's quite likely that person can't have the win either. In 28 days time they are going to have a mountain of unclaimed prizes and people who thought they had lost getting wins they dont want because they have claimed a bigger prize, I think.
  • YOU CAN WIN ONE MINOR AND ONE MAJOR EACH DAY AND NO MORE BUT THE DAY AFTER YOU COULD WIN MAJOR AND MINOR SO ON EACH DAY.ITS JUST NOT LETTING YOU WIN MORE THAN ONE MINOR OR MAJOR IN THE SAME DAY!!!

Good luck ppl xxxx no more codes please i have loads up to now but loving it xxnight night xxxxx

    18. Q. I don’t have a code on my promotional pack can I still enter?
    A. Yes. Please contact the Customer Care line on :
    UK & NI: 0500 011710
    ROI 1800 409317
Who will then enter on your behalf.

Oooh, there have been some of us who have foolishly picked up non promo packs - I hadnt seen this in the FAQ before.

No I think its for if the time code is rubbed off or something only on promotional packs.
  • I missed the troll episode - what number post did they appear, cos I thought I had read through all the back posts????

I was talking to a friend about this the other day, and she had said McVities dont lose per day. They have £5000 set aside per day and even with swapping codes, that is the maximum they have to pay out. We arent doing anything that increases their payout or exposing a loophole they need to plug. We buy biscuits, we input codes, we talk when we win, we encourage others to buy too. That blumming advert they have out now doesnt imply a competition to me, it looks like a dodgy survey and random prize draw. It reminds me of the BOGOF windows adverts that are terrible too !!!

Surely at the moment they will have to still honour 1 major and 1 minor per household as the t&c;s still say that as well as the other new rule......

Also we've all been out and bought loads of biscuits and I for one would not usually buy biscuits so they're still making a fortune on sales.....!!

Argghhhhh..... they also need to be more clear on wins from before 1st Sept as OH had a £500 win (before 1st) so can he still have another major????

How will this work - if I win £100 tomorrow, then £1000 (ok ok in my dreams :rotfl::rotfl:) the following day can I choose which win I want or do I automatically get the first one then the next just converts to £50 then I'm blocked......????

    IS this making sense????

    I don;t think they've thought it through properly..... :o

I think if you had a £100 and a £1000 win you'd only send in the wrapper for the £1000 win.

I feel like I've been duped into buying loads more McVities products than I would want on a false promise of some T&C's
