  • "5. Only 5 entries per code, per person, per address will be permitted"

This clause implies that it is permissible to share codes and even to enter the same code again for someone else in your household!

This makes me wonder how "entrants are not adhering to the T&C's"...

    I won, I won, I won!
sorry, but anyone that sent me codes for tomorrow I cannot do now due to the terms and conditions, god only knows whats going to happen!!!
  • I think we should carry on you are bound by the terms and conditions on the wrapper you are sending surely, and until they print new t & c on wrappers do they legally have a leg to stand on.

at the end of the t&c on the wrapper it states that full terms and conditions are on their website so they are kind of covering themselves really

Surely at the moment they will have to still honour 1 major and 1 minor per household as the t&c;s still say that as well as the other new rule......

Also we've all been out and bought loads of biscuits and I for one would not usually buy biscuits so they're still making a fortune on sales.....!!

Argghhhhh..... they also need to be more clear on wins from before 1st Sept as OH had a £500 win (before 1st) so can he still have another major????

How will this work - if I win £100 tomorrow, then £1000 (ok ok in my dreams :rotfl::rotfl:) the following day can I choose which win I want or do I automatically get the first one then the next just converts to £50 then I'm blocked......????

    IS this making sense????

    I don;t think they've thought it through properly..... :o

but you agree to the website terms when you tick the box to enter. The t&c's are totally confusing

I thought the idea of the competition was to promote the brand McVites. I have bought many different varieties that I have not tried before just because they had a different code on them.

Magnum competition. Bought some, now the whole family love magnums so I regularly buy them. Promotion was successful here.

This T&C's change will put me off McVites, just like the Andrex comp stopped me from buying Andrex.
  • 18. Q. I don’t have a code on my promotional pack can I still enter?
    A. Yes. Please contact the Customer Care line on :

Who will then enter on your behalf.

Oooh, there have been some of us who have foolishly picked up non promo packs - I hadnt seen this in the FAQ before.

  • can anyone clarify major/ minor wins
    would a minor be £50
    major anything over £50??

What I want to know is, say you've already won £50 - in order to win a major prize you'll have to keep entering, but what happens if you enter a code at a winning time which happens to be for another £50 prize? You have no control over that - so will they just not let you win and disqualify you from that prize? And would they keep not letting you win until you happened to win on a major prize?

Rubbish. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I'm pretty sure all the money we have won already has to be paid as it says from 1st September. So, as I have only won a minor prize in my name and none in my OH I guess I'm better off entering codes in their name in case I win another £50. I'm wondering if the person on here causing a bit of bother the other day had something to do with this...
    £2017 in 2017 (£16/£2017)
    50 prizes in 2017 (1/50)
Wins July 1/£16 Wins August 0/£0
