Look I dont want to worry you but Im waiting on a biggie I got fed up of being fobbed off on the phone so got Edwin mutton involved and actualy had a phone call back from mcvitites telling me they have no record of my claim... Im not sure how they managed to lose it because I sent it "signed for special next day delivery" in the same bag with another claim for £50(seperate envelopes but in the same bag)
which I have recieved so even though they have settled one of the claims apparently they have no record of the £500 one... Im absolutly peeved and getting madder and madder about it by the day and wonder if im actualy ever going to get it.. I think I will ring back on monday one last time if its not sorted then I will write too mcvitites head office or something drastic.
I suggest you email Edwin also so at least you will get a phone call from them explaining why you have not heard anything I hope it gets sorted for us all waiting!

I'm waiting on two August wins but I've virtually resigned myself to the fact that I won't be paid for them now. These were shared wins but I settled with the sharers ages ago as I got a few cheques through together but didn't know which win they referred to (the earliest cheques didn't have ref nos on them) so I paid everyone I needed to. I'm therefore £100 out of pocket (and I only won £600 so that was a big chunk of my winnings)

The lady I spoke to at McVities last week (I think) was very nice but she'd been told by the handling company that all Aug payments had been sent out. I said that I knew there were a few people still waiting - her reply to that was that the only wins not paid were those that were not valid claims (no wrapper sent, wrong wrapper sent, etc)

They are very pleasant at McVities when you ring - I think the problems lie with the handling house (and I bet McV's are as frustrated as the rest of us with them!)

I am waiting for a win from August and also a big win that has been 'lost'.

For both wins, I have screenshots, photos of the packets and sent the claim with the winning email by recorded and special delivery. Both were signed for the next day after posting.

McVities say they have no record of the big win - despite all the above.

I had a phone call from McShitties though and they said it had been sent out and that I would need to just wait due to the postal strikes but this was 2 weeks ago

I think McV's are telling anyone with Aug wins that the cheques have been sent as that's what the handling house has told them. I was also told that one of my cheques had been sent but, when I still hadn't received it after 10 days, they investigated further and said they had not received my winning packet. The cheque was never sent but I think that's their first stock reply as the handling house have assured them all valid claims are now settled.

what are they playing at this is not how a competition is run i am discusted with mcvities on fobbing people off this is terrible and poor i urge people to contact edwin as its clears mcvities have basiclly denied thousands of pound in wins.......

I'm still waiting for my August win. Promo company told mcvities they'd never received my wrapper. Sent it recorded and it was signed for so gave tracking number to lovely lady at mcvities, this was a week on friday ago (does that make sense lol- the 30th anyway). Heard nothing so phoned mcvities again yesterday who said they haven't heard anything either?! !!!!!! are they playing at. getting really cross with it, counting on this money as is melandtony who i shared with :mad:

I'm very new here so don't really know how these things work like the rest of you BUT would it be best to all contact Edwin individually or could we collate all the problems we have all had so he knows exactly how bad this has been handled and can talk to them appropriately? I know that would identify us as MSE'rs or friends of MSE'rs but at the same time they know sharing was going on and it didn't breach the T&Cs. And as things stand a lot of us are not going to get paid anyway by the look if things so how much harm can it do?

To date I only have 2 that are over the 28 days but the rest are creeping towards that now.

I would be happy to collate everyones details for a week to make sure we catch everyone if people think that would be better. But if that happens bear in mind I work full time.
