free orange sim/registering probs

No it does not work with virgin media DSL(which is cable). This is my home connection. And it does not work with bt broadband at my workplace(which is ASDL).
So I'm going to have to go down the phone route in order to get these sims registered.

I found the previous entries helpful as I had been trying to logon to register my sim without success using both IE and Firefox
I am with Virgin but have a 3 mobile dongle which I connected and then had no problem with Firefox finding the site. Now just waiting 48 hours for the credit.

Hi,

I have problems validating the SIM card. On line the site asks me to ring the 0845 Number. Got through on Friday after a 5 min wait. After taking details operator said the details of the card had not been logged on the system by Gomobile yet, try in 24Hrs. Rang again today, this time after the 5 minute wait the operator said they are having technical difficulties, try again tomorrow!!! So still no further forward. Any one managed to validate their SIM?

I've been trying for weeks. Orange put the phone down twice and on other occasions promised to have a manager return my call. Needless to say, they didn't. After Vodafone and T-Mobile have become diabolical to deal with I had hoped Orange were still ok - but apparently this disease is catching. I have also tried the 0845 number but still no credit. Feel like chucking them out!

Hi,

Followed the instructions on the leaflet that came with the SIM card & registered the Phone with orange. They credited the SIM with £1 but this takes 14 days to come through.

Today I tried the 0845 number again. They took my name, address & D O B, details of the SIM number, mobile number & 4 digit code. Said the £5 top up will be applied after 48 hours.

Waiting to see, but seem to have made some progress!

They've had a week and my £5 credits have never appeared. A complete waste of time!

Received 6 of these sims about 4 weeks ago, all registered without problems online, total free credit £30. within the stated 48 hours.

I can't access the site on-line and even though registered there is no £5 credit! When I spoke with the 0845 line people their systems were not working. Has left me very unimpressed by both Affordablemobiles and Orange.

I ordered 4 from affordable mobile and despite a despatch email they never arrived and my email went unanswered :mad:

I did get the £8 via quidco tho :rotfl:.

I then ordered 2 from https://www.gomobileuk.com to a friends address and have registered one and got the £5 after 3 days, oh and I won a frisbee too lol
