I have been playing around with the figures again and have seen that I now have exactly 4 years till I want the mortgage gone  I already save £200 of my wages straight into the mortgage pot each month, so on top of this it works out I need to find another £470 a month which breaks down to £108 a week. So, for the next 4 years, my challenge is going to be to make £100 a week   There will also be the 48 months x £8 but I will worry about that bit in the summer holidays over the next few years
So ... yet another change of plan .... summer challenge is off, didn't really get going did it , and now its the £100 challenge instead. The new week will start on a saturday, so I can hopefully visit car boot sales / do some ebaying / matched betting at weekends to make the £100 and then spend the weekdays either catching up if it hasn't gone to plan or getting ahead for the weeks when it doesn't workBite sized chunks and all that
This weeks should be fine because of the matched bet I'm doing this weekend, but it would be good to get a headstart for some of the leaner weeks ahead. Oooh, I'm feeling all motivated now

£100 a week sounds a lot - but it is not much more than the £10 a day challenge......

I know there will be some weeks where I'll struggle to make a tenner, but hopefully they will be balanced out with those lovely ones that come along now and thenMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Finally caught up with your 'new' diary so making sure that I keep up to date with it now.
What bookie offer are you doing at the moment - B365? Have you been doing the WillHill offers?
I too am aiming for £100 per week so will be keeping an eye on what you are up to!
Good luck.

That was a lovely surprise; am going to transfer my £400 tonight and then get started. Hubby got £110 from PP last week. We just need a few more like these and the £100 a week will be easy peasy.
Not good on the card front though; have you used it at a garage recently?Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -
no, but i have used it quite a bit over the last few days in London  The bank were also concerned about the number of gambling transactions on my account , I politely told them that I was concerned too as surely they could see that the amounts coming in from the bookies were higher than the amounts going out, and surely as financial people thy understood that that makes good financial sense

Sorry to hear about your card, hope it sorts itself out quicky and painlessly to you.
£100 per week, that's a huge challenge. Good luck with it. I can't get my head around the big MB offers and worry I'll mess them up so I tend to steer clear. Sad thing is I think i've done all the easy ones so one day I'm going to have to be brave.0
