Hi Duey and welcome
Thats actually a really useful idea, I will have several plastic crates empty once I've unpacked the non-clothes stuff, so I could sort stuff into those. I am taking some of my clothes and some of ds clothes so I think I will do as you suggest, thankyou :T :T

Good luck with the car boot BB. I like the idea of them but the early Sunday morning starts always put me off. I get up early enough during the week, lol.Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.0

Thank you all, I knoe what you mean about the early mornings Molly but I have no excuse really as I have 6 weeks off work so have plenty of opportunity for lie-ins
My ebay items have just finished and out of 6 items only 2 soldIn around about way I'm not bothered, if they'd done well I'd be thinking that I should have stuck more on there whereas now I know I'm doing the right thing going to the car boot
The two that sold went for £3.19 and £1.99, so not exactly going to clear the mortgage but it still helps

Just been looking at my £100 weekly challenge, today was the start of week 2, and today I have made £20 from matched betting stuff and I have several mystery shops lined up for this week which will bring in £42.00, so I need to find another £38 this week, so that will be my challenge for the car boot
To be honest I don't expect to make even half of that, but thats what I will aim for

Hiya Benben,
well done on your car boot sale:beer:.
Can I ask what sorts of items you sold and did you price the items before you went or made it up as you went along? Its just I have quite a few of DD's outgrown clothes which are in good condition, (but not expensive makes) as well as various other items I was thinking of taking to a car boot, so I was just wondering the best way of going about things and if there was anything that didn't seem to sell that well.
You seem to being going great guns in paying off that mortgage, am sure you'll succeed:j.0 -
Hi Elliemarie, today I mainly sold clothes and kids books. I had a box of kids books and a box of my books, I didn't sell one of mine but almost sold all of ds's  Clothes went well today, its one of those boot sales where they do go well but others I've done they've hardly gone at all. I don't tend to price anything up, the only thing that def doesn't sell is videos, so many people have boxes of them for 10p each and they still dont go. The girl next to me was offering 10 disney videos for £1 and still couldn't shift them, they were good ones like lion king and little mermaid but no-one wants them. The first things to go wre magazines, I dont but many but if I do buy them I chuck them in a box in the garage once I've read them and take them along with me, I charge 20p each for them, usually ones like Now, Closer, Ok etc ... and they always go first
Most of the clothes I sold were 50p each, some were £1. I also have a 10p box which is full of McD's happy meal toys and all sorts of "bits" that ds accumalates like the packs of crayons you get in m&s kids lunch box meals etc
, and that box is always really popular

and it ended up making me £6.50
