Evening all, ds had 4 nosebleeds at school today so they phoned me at work which panicked me completely (the only time they've ever phoned me before was when he was excluded so I immediately thought he'd done something wrong :o:o). He has had a bungled nose recently (a word he used as a toddler and its stuck ever since), he does get quite a lot of them in the summer when its hot but not sure whats brought them on today. So he's now playing quietly with warnings not to over-exert himself (never any danger of that with him lol) :)

The flat is nice and tidy and it feels strange not having loads of jobs to do indoors for a change! Only spends today have been £2.70 on ebay postage but that comes out of my ebay money, and £1.80 for ds disco ticket for friday.

Need to start thinking how to make some money this month as quidco is only paying out £1.50 of the £80 odd quid I'm still waiting for :( £30 of it was earnt last july and I already put in an enquiry for it and it was validated but God knows when or if I'll ever see them money

  • Sorry to hear DS has been poorly today - my DD used to suffer with nose bleeds - in this weather it was normally the combination of a bungled nose and the cold air that cause it!
Hope he feels better soon - hope quidco get there act together soon!
I'm feeling bit like you, money slow coming in but at least half term is coming up soon - can't wait :j

Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

Right here I go again ....

I know you've heard this one a million times, and yet it never gets anywhere ....
So, I've been thinking in the bath, and have set myself a new challenge:

:D February is my body month :D
Basically, rather than start yet another diet (that should go on for yonks until I've lost the weight but actually fizzles out in a matter of days), Ive decided to make this the month I make my body a priority. This involves:
    • losing a stone
    • getting my hair cut and highlighted (the easy bit ;))
    • making a dentist appointment
    • going to the gym at least 3 times a week
    • not biting my fingernails
    • booking an appointment at the beauticians (had a voucher for over a year and not used it :o)
    • drinking bucketloads of water
    • Keep my eyebrows in check ;)
So, thats it! Thinking the £10 a day might be a bit easier :rotfl:
I will try and update daily as to my efforts :o

Good luck with all that - was some list:D. Could you not get your eyebrows waxed/shaped while you're at the beauticians? usually quite cheap and makes them easier to keep on top of...

Good luck BB. I'm on the way with getting the finances sorted, March will be the start of my body month too however I fear it might overflow into April, May, June, July....

Yep, my problems won't be solved within a month, but if I can manage most of this list I will be on my way and hopefully some of my clothes will feel a bit looser, some might even do up again :o, my nails should look presentable, my hair should be manageable again, and generally everything should be a bit more positive :)
