I went to the tip and also took a load of flattened cardboard that has been living in the garage for ages. I emptied the car out and got rid of the junk and brought the rest of it indoors and sorted it. The car still needs a hoover inside and a clean outside, but at least the junk has gone ;) I've also been to Grandads, had a lovely chat with him and sat and looked through about 10 photo albums he'd dug out. Some of the photos were of him and my Nan when they first met, 70 odd years ago, and lots of the war ones and things like that, it was amazing, a really lovely time, its just a shame it takes someones death for this to happen, I've never seen any pictures of my grandparents before my lifetime if that makes sense, to me they've always been old, so to see pictures of them in their childhood and youth was fabulous :)

Great work on the mortgage BB - I love playing with the spreadsheet and seeing what effect OP's will have! We've just increased our regular monthly payment by another £40 which has knocked another few months off the MF date. Also found out that we've been put into the "new" Northern Rock bank which means they are interested in keeping our business once our fixed rate ends. Both surprised and pleased about that!

Elidee I started reading the share book last night and its fab, I can't believe I enjoy reading about such a dull topic :o

EH, well done on the extra overpayments, it makes such a big difference over time and its sooo motivating to see the amount going downwards :D

Well the night out wasn't a wild one, we went to a local pub but it was really busy so we just had one then went to the chippie and got some chips and went down to the clifftop with them :) Then we were both feeling stuffed so I dropped my friend home and we're both gonna aim for an early night. I'm tucked up all cosy in bed with the laptop already. The freebie bet didn't go too well either, they scored twice in quick succession so didn't have time to lay the bet, so just means I lost £3 overall :o Not ideal but doesn't happen like that very often.

Morning :) Today involves some more housework and collecting ds this afternoon before getting his homework done. Ooh, and a roast dinner ;)

I also want to start looking into tesco clubcard deals and start planning what exactly I'm going to do with my points.
