Okay, time for my new year update ....
I've updated my signature already, everythings in place now I think for the new year plans, so here goes with a rundown of whats in store:
Firstly, heres the old signature so I can look back at where I was at the end of 2009,Mortgage Challenge 2009 pt. 2: £3534/£4920
MFD = [strike]Dec 2034[/strike] Dec 2022 .. Aim Aug 2013
1/1/07:£122k, 1/7/07: £60k, 1/1/09: £50k
1/6/09: £46k
The mortgage challenge target (£4920) was the amount I would need to find to reduce my mortgage to £41k. Originally at the start of 2009 I wanted to reduce it to £42k so even though I didn't make my new target I did manage to beat my original oneCurrently my mortgage is standing at roughly £41,500 :beer:
My new target for the next 12 months sees me wanting to reduce the mortgage down to £32k. This means I am looking to shift £9,500 off it which is a huge amount in comparison to my income. I have thought a lot about how to do it and it gets broken down like this:-
Regular mortgage payments = £2300
-
Regular monthly overpayments = £2400
-
£10 a day challenge = £3650
-
Other payments = £1150
Okay, a bit more info about some of these; the £10 a day challenge gives me a manageable bit to aim for each week. This money will be made from the usual things like ebay, surveys, mystery shops, car boot sales, matched betting, bingo, quidco etc.
The 'other payments' includes one-off things such as birthday money, cashback from my mobile redemptions, some of the money from my parents for xmas, any other odd unexpected bits that come my way
So, once again its going to be a big challenge, but once again I'm feeling all motivated at the beginning of a new yearI have got £37 to last me now until the start of the new year. We dont have any extravagant new year plans and I'm hoping my money will last till then
Any questions about my plans please ask, any suggestions please feel free to chuck them my way

The money thats already showing in my signature is £100 of my parents xmas money and the £20 I won on bingo the other day. Anything else I make before the new year actually starts will go into the 'other payments' category so I can track the £10 a day one from Jan 1stMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
