So you have the money in your hand instead of off the balance of the card.

you will get the correct amount back, I had a cc with halifax reclaimed my ppi and got nearly £11,000. The only problem I now have is that they paid the money directly to me and into my account, however, they have reduced my cc limit by virtually the same amount with no notice and have now issued me with a letter requesting I pay the over limit amount. On the grounds of principle, I have not agreed. This is my money not Halifax's and they are now trying to compel me to repay into my cc account the money they have refunded me. Has this happened to anyone else?
