Im dreading it actually haha, the older cat will have a bat around the baubles but the kitten has a fettish for wires too (He has chewed through 4 pairs of earphones and a phone charger) So I better not put lights on it, otherwise I'll have one cooked cat......

Awww your poor OH!! Bet he was devastated. No leftover turkey for that puddy tat!
  • Aww buttonmoon your kitten sounds just like my little man- he is crazy and pulled down a pair or curtains and 2 shower curtains- he is now banned from the bathroom. He calmed down quite a bit after the chop though- still a bit of a loon but nowhere near as bad.

Funny thing is my other kitten is an ex-feral and he is as good as gold most of the time. The only issues I have with him is that he hates people in general- he doesn't mind me or my OH and when we go to the vet it's a nightmare he usually messes his crate in protest and needs 2 vet nurses to hold him down while the vet examines him. He is a couple of months older though so not as maniac as the "baby".

The kitten is banned from the kitchen, bathroom and my bedroom for these reasons -

Bathroom - He plays in the toilet, I'm scared he will drown, he has no sense at all and if a bath is running he will fall into it, it's a good job I always run cold first!

Kitchen - He jumps on the counters and steals food, doesn't matter what it is, of course he still goes in when I'm there but he knows he shouldn't be, waits for frozen peas to fall out the freezer when I open it. Also caught him climbing the oven gloves ONTO the cooker, as I was using the hobs. No sense!

My bedroom - He climbs the clothes drying on the clothes horse, I now have loads of lovely holes on half of my tshirts, and OH's shorts are full of scratches. He also will start attacking me at 3am, which isn't really fun! Also him and the older cat think the ironing board (I leave it up otherwise I won't do it!) is some sort of adventure tower, and they start scrapping around, not that great when OH has to be up at half 5!

Naughty Naughty. He's currently meeping and brrrping away at the window, and trying to claw his way through to a seagull he saw fly past.

I had mine done at 6 months and it was certainly about time.
I noticed when he was sprawled across my chest having his tummy tickled just how much he was enjoying it :s
I'd only had female cats before so took me a second to realise what exactly I was looking at.
    lol
