  • The lady at the rescue place where we got ours from said you should be able to feel them while he is sitting on your lap, actually feel for whether they have dropped or not. None of us have the balls (lol!) to actually have a feel though, we are all a bit squemish ;)

Really? It's not like I show cats so I need him to reach maximum size (I'd actually prefer if he didn't, he's already massive!)

Maybe I'll call around as don't want to wait to 7months, if he sprays, I'll scream.
  • My two (male and female) are both off to have their bits chopped on Tuesday - they'll be about 5 and a half months. The vet said that as long as he was 'big' enough and had reached a certain weight they would be fine.

I have noticed a change in my boy over the last week - he is desperate to get outside and he has become very dominant with his sister and although I don't think he is trying to do the deed yet, I fear it won't be long. He is like a big bundle of energy and hormones!

My year old Bengal is fully grown and a big boy. There is no evidence to suggest that early neuturing stumps growth.

I'm not sure if my one is being dominant with older one or just playing, they DO play, biting and pouncing on each other, but he just doesn't know when to quit. He bites my other ones bum and she HATES it, she will growl at him and eventually hiss and swipe if he doesn't stop, and even though she has done that, and he must know she isn't happy, he will still keep doing it? Not sure if he's just naughty or something more.

How much have they got to weigh, do you know? I may actually phone around as I'm betting I could get him done for less than £40 if I bothered to check!

Sounds just like my boy - he doesn't know when to stop a lot of the time and is really hurting her. Even when she is really crying he carries on pinning her down. I know a lot of it is play as they do it a lot, but this last week he has got really bad and she has her back up at him a lot.

As for the weight...I should know but have a terrible memory. I want to say 2kg but might be totally wrong. I'll try and find out. As for costs, mine will be about £100 for the pair assuming she doesn't come into season.
  • Sounds like your little man wants to play but likely has more energy than his sister. Our kitten was like he just couldn't take no for an answer and would pounce on sleeping cats to get them up to play with him. He had a rugged detirmination about him and if he wanted to play someone was going to play with him that was that. Luckily he had 3 cats and 2 humans to choose from so it never got to the hissy stage-once one cat tired of him he would move on to the next cat kinda like a relay race.

I don't know if maybe bringing out a wand toy (Da bird is the favourite in our house) once his sister tires of him might get him to leave her alone for a bit.
