You had to get Sky? I didnt know it was compulsary.0 -
The good news is that it arrives in the bank very quickly.
Not always true, the past two times we have claimed disturbance allowance (once upon moving to our current posting and once the month before last when moving quarters due to having another baby) it's never arrived that month or the month after, we're now only receiving our DA this payday, a month and a half after actually moving so we've been out of pocket for moving costs such as final utility bills etc. So, moral of the story is don't always bank on it arriving in the bank very quickly!!Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940 -
Submitted Disturbance Allowance claim via JPA 30 calander days before move, looked into bank statement this morning. No Disturbance Allowance paid as of yet.
Really annoying as we have paid out about £450 so far in costs (goods in transit & insurance cancellation fee's), which with christmas and an overseas move doesnt help.
I can forecast how this is going to go, and the cash wont stretch that far -
End of Jan - Disturbance Allowance Paid
End of Feb - Jan & Feb's LOA Paid0 -
Its paid in conjunction with the main pay run. If you submitted it after 11 Dec, then you'll be waiting until 31 Jan.
If you are struggling financially, ask your Admin Office for an EPIC equal to the DA total - they will pay you in cash and deduct it from your Jan salary, which will include your DA.0 -
Martin,
Was speaking with Mrs Alias, might just bump up the overdraft to £2,000 to allow for the lack of DA & LOA. The costs small against a total mess up of Pay.
We are sure going to struggle, as were Jan & Feb short of LOA too. So thats 43 x £34.00 - £1462 in LOA, then plus the costs for DA.

hi,
i was hoping you could help, i have looked through the JSP and no where does it mention DA for a "compulsory move" due to DE moving us from one house to another, they have rejected my claim saying i am only moving for a short period below 6 months. but i will still incur all charges from Sky and Bt irrespective of how long i live there. can any one please offer some advice, i am in the Navy.
thanks in advance

Why are you only moving for less than 6 months?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0

hi,
because the mould and damp in the house is unsafe for my family to live in so they have said it is a "compulsory" move. they are paying for the removals but nothing else, they have asked us to move not the other way round.0 -
How long will you be in the new house?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0
