    1.OH got her handbag back, complete with all contents :j
    2. OH's new job is a permanent post with 3 month's probation period not just a temporary 3 month contract, which is what I thought it was...doh! ...yippee.

  • Thank You Jellie

    Have sat down tonight and worked out a provisional debt repayment plan, given that me and OH now have enough to meet our monthly outgoings and can start ramping up the debt repayments, starting from a base of £20.00 a month at present gradually increasing it to £200.00 per month.

    It's going to take...wait for it... EIGHT years, ending December 2016..well, better get started :D

    As you say- one step at a time. With any luck you'll get some payrises in the next 8 years!

  • As part of my job I had to go and visit a site where some contractors had been doing work for the local authority I work for. I parked on some land next to a shopping parade and came back 10 - 15 minutes later.

    Car Clamped. Release Cost....£83.00!!!! :eek::mad::eek::mad::eek::mad:

    Got back to office, told colleagues. When I was away from my desk for a few mins they had a whip-round and gave me £32.00 towards it :A:A:A:A

    I hope somebody makes these parasites illegal one day.

    How annoying but it is lovely to hear about your colleagues being so generous. Gives you a bit of faith in humanity!

  • Tomorrow is the day I'm going to sit down and do a stocktake of exactly what I owe and consider what they may want as payment either from myself or via CCCS.

    I already have a payment agreement with three out of the seven creditors and don't really want CCCS to undo my hard work.

    Barclays have been adopting an unco-operative approach, threatening to sell the debt on unless I start paying just over 1% of the balance, about £25.00. CCCS reckon I can afford £117.00 per month towards unsecured debts so need to check if £25.00 to Barclaycard could be less than under the CCCS scheme....hope you're still following this :D .

  • Does anyone else really hate the Natwest (and others) bank adverts which are really trying to make out that we should forget the credit crunch, the millions paid by "The Taxpayer" i.e US! and how they are still "trousering" loads of cash in "bonuses" and that they are really our best mates who are tying their damnedest to help us yet along with the credit card companies hoisting interst rates and charges up as much as possible to try and fill the financial black holes they created...

    What do you call 50 bank managers at the bootom of the sea?... A good start :D

    End of rant...puts soapbox away.. G'night all.
