If you have time on your hands, you could try splitting your ticket around Crewe or Stoke on Trent and getting a cheap London Midland ticket from there to London. The LM trains are pretty slow and uncomfortable though.0 -

Hopefully you got tickets as detailed on your other thread.
If not, then post again.0 -
I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me please. Looking to travel from Tiverton Parkway to Kirkcaldy on 18th October, preferably after 10.30 a.m returning on 25th October leaving after 9 a.m, if someone could tell me the cheapest way to do this journey I would much appreciate it.0

What have you found so far?
How many adults and children are travelling?
Are you happy to be tied to specific trains?0 -
I would be happy to help, but it would be good if you can show that you have put some effort in yourself.

So far the cheapest I have found is £186.50 which is the standard return for 1 adult. It will be just the 1 adult and yes I am happy to be tied to specific trains.0 -

Not precisely, no
12 weeks is today - but the 12 weeks is never precise, particularly at holiday times
FGW have released until 27 December, which suggests that it won't be long - maybe later this week, maybe next
A walkon ticket for that day is £39, so you can't pay more than that0 -

Best to keep an eye on National Rail's Booking Horizons page to see when those tickets are released.0
