Check Red spotted Hanky I could get a ticket leaving at 06:09 Wigan all day in London then getting the 20:31 train back for £36.70
Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.

On National Rail website I can see a 06.09 outward and a 19.30 return for £36.70?

It's still available by using the National Rail journey planner,

There is a link from National Rail journey planner to buy the ticket from the Virgin Rail site. (Or any other Train operator)

As along as you avoid TheTrainLine (it charges booking fees)
    you will be charged £36.70

The Super Off Peak Day Travelcard is an amazing bargain, and there are some restrictions.

The main restriction is that it is quota controlled and bookable on the outward leg.

On that Saturday morning, the only train left that that ticket is valid on is the 06:09 Wigan departure.

If you want to travel at that price on that train then book as soon as possible.
I guess they won't be available on that train for much longer.

You can travel back on any Virgin train... no need to book a specific train.

Remember that this ticket includes all day travel on London's buses, tube, DLR, river buses and trains.

    Its a travelcard.

It will say Travelcard on it.
The destination will be London Zones 1-6 (or something similar).

    Something like this picture.

  • thanks for this

I am going to collect the tickets tomorrow
  • If it's Wigan to London Euston it won't include a travelcard because that's the end of your booked journey at Euston. If you are onward traveling you can usually book right through to your destination and then a travelcard is included.

The £36.70 fare is for a Super Off-Peak Day Travelcard, so tube fares will be included.
