With the tube tickets which we would probably use 3 or 4 times each day I take it we would be better buying a day pass each day rather than topping up oyster cards (which we don't have)?0 -

A cheaper SE Weekender is available at £62.00 but you cannot use HS services.
Your choice.0 -
Yeah £72.40 that's the one I'll go for. The HS is so much nicer.0

Buying a day pass each day for the tube/buses etc will the way to go. An Oyster will end up costing the same - but you'll have had to get it, pay a £5 deposit and then go through the bother of getting the deposit and unused money back
And you don't run the risk of being overcharged on the Oyster because you are unfamiliar with how it works.
Just check on the zones you need. 1-2 works for most.0 -

Firstly, look at single fares, not just returns. That fare can easily be beaten, depending on times, as long as they commit themselves to specific trains and buy now.
Secondly, look at the slower London Midland service - it can be done for £26.50 return superoffpeak or £39 return offpeak. That's a walkon fare. (Both are per person). (The last superoffpeak return train is rather early)0 -

Best fare finder on right hand side.
Yes but then when you go through to book it says " The ticket you selected is no longer available at that price for your group. Click Next to see which tickets are available for your journey " Which then jumps to £146.40 for the single...... Very confused lol0
