Readfing at that time only has buses - no trains at all0 -
Hi
I travel to Horsham (via Kings Cross, Then St Pancras to Three Bridges then Horsham) from York each Tuesday and return on a Friday.
I buy an advanced ticket and pay £36.95 or £41.85 depending on the train I take and the time I book in advance.
HOWEVER - If I book with 2 other adults I get 1 third off the fair.
What I am looking for is to team up with a couple of people who do the York to Kings Cross Tuesday (I usually get the 08:11) and Kings Cross to York Friday (anything between 18:00 - 20:30) to obtain the extra 33% discount.
I have run through the booking process on the Eastcoast website and the offer is not restricted so any ticket gets the discount.
Not sure how I will get / give contact details but I'm sure someone will think of something that does not require us to post email addresses.
Hope to hear from a few fellow travellers0 -
Hi there,
New to this forum but hope you can help me out?
I found out recently that a Saver Return ticket includes travel on the London underground - one trip out, one back. I always used to buy a travelcard until I found this out.
This new Super Saver ticket, does it include the same underground travel as the Saver, or will I need to pay for that separately?
Thanks.0 -

There's no such thing as a saver return - they were abolished/renamed some time back. I assume you mean off peak return.
It doesn't normally include travel on the underground - unless you buy it to zone 1 rather than London terminals. Usually £3 extra each way on the London terminals fare, so a travelcard is cheaper for a day trip (£5.60)
Superoffpeak return - same principle.
From some stations you can buy an inclusive all zone travelcard - depending on the pricing policy of the train company that you are using that can be cheaper still. There isn't always a superoffpeak version of this.0 -

Is that what you are talking about?
Has been discussed at length on another thread from post #1353 onwards.
Some more info about it here.

It's the Off Peak return that includes one underground journey out and one back. I checked this yesterday when I bought my Super Off Peak Railcard.
The SOPR does not include the underground journey, hence buying the Railcard.0 -

Your post would be more useful if you said WHAT journey this applies to - as a generalisation it's simply not true and could be seriously misleading on many routes.0 -
