Anyone reckon I can do this in the remoska if I heated it up first?

Curses, I miss having an oven.
    Isn't a Remoska like a slow cooker? cookies?

I've just gone to amazon and ordered the book. Finally given in ;)
Want all the salmon recipes and since OH insists that I keep using the chilli recipe, thought I may as well try some more of their recipes :D

Thanks ginvtz - hmmm I'm thinking next time I've got a day off work, I'm out to the salmon suppliers in the village.... ;) But will ask them to take the head off the salmon!!! :p

Ask them to fillet it (remove the from the bone - Morrisons fish monger did this for me) and to scale it (didn't think of asking), if possible - I am still cleaning the scales in my kitchen and I was preparing it on Monday!!!

Just ask them to give you the bone, tail and head for the stock. It was lovely...

  • Did anyone else laugh at the fact that they called tuna pasta bake 'Norwegian Fish Pie'?!

Loved the sun dried tomato idea though, off to get some cheapy tomatoes from Lidl to have a bash at that. Also going to make the bedrock sauce as well as I just love fresh tomato sauce.

Thought it was a fab programme last night-OH hasn't seen any of the previous ones but even he thought it was good, although he did think it was funny that I predicted the appearance of a large piece of meat in the fridge for the final meal......

Thanks I have a hubby that can do all that too, but guess it'd be less messy for my kitchen if they do it :D Plus hubby would do it, but make me watch :o

I don't want the head - I can't cook dead things that that can still look at me, sorry :o

I don't but do you read papers and watch tv about how children are behaving these days or even see them out and about misbehaving in public in ways that would never be tolerated when I was a child?
Fair enough - but society has changed and technology, attitudes- much has changed over time . That doesn't mean you need to make derogatory comments about children in general whenever you get the opportunity:confused:

I'm sure you wouldn't like to be generalised or pigeonholed. I just think it's a tad unfair to make such a statement about schools and kids behaving - like there is a direct correlation and that todays teachers and schools are to blame for all our problems. Then you go on to make comment about kids getting taxis to school, and how "easy" it would be to work and have kids in education - just leave them at school early/just work your lunch etc. I don't understand the bee you seem to have in your bonnet about kids in general and childcare related issues (when you don't seem to have experience yourself)

I know you don't have children and you aren't interested in reading other peoples stories about kids - understandable. Doesn't excuse the catty/bitter comments IMO.

perhaps I misunderstand you - but I am just saying how it comes across.

Any chance of the recipe pretty please :D?

Certainly (sorry for the delay am only on page 46 of this thread:p). I'm at work at the mo but will bring it in tomorrow (Fri 4th Sept) and post it then.

I used to love that magazine:D

When you post the recipe, can you include the topping:D

    Thank you:beer:

    Most certainly will!

I had Jackie every week without fail! Men/boys were always refered to as 'fellas' and it had recipes in that were affordable and easy to do.

When my girls were 12ish I looked for a magazine for them but there was nothing as good as Jackie I have to say:p
