Surely you'd be better off using real sugar rather than artificial sweeteners. You can always add less sugar if you don't want the calories.
Ooh, there's the timer bleeping, just off to take the double choc chip cookies out of the oven:D0 -

I presume the tbsp oregano is fresh? As in other recipes they talk about dried oregano? The taste is quite different so don't want to get it wrong
I also was wondering if anyone has any ideas about swapping the tin of chopped toms for fresh cherry toms? I wasn't sure if it would work, but just picked a bowlful of toms, and have meals planned for next few days and we going away sat, so don't want them to go to waste! (I suppose I can rejig menu if not-I sometimes think fresh toms are def not a substitute for tinned, and not sure if would work in this recipe) Any ideas?0 -

I agree-much prefer real sugar (just less of it) I used to drink sugar free squash, diet coke etc by the litre, now I limit myself to a glass of real squash or cordial (rocks squash or bottlegreen cordial-ginger and lemongrass YUM) with fizzy water once a day, and plain water the rest of the time. I don't like fake sugar or fake butter-a little of the good stuff is much nice0 -

Hiya, did anyone catch the volumes of ingredients for the bran and banana muffins?
I wrote down what I thought was the recipe as I watched the programme and was about to make them now, only to find I only have instructions like: put bran and hot water in bowl/ cream butter and sugar etc, but I've not got the amounts:rotfl:. Doh!!
Please, if anyone could post them, that would be great. The kids are back at school today:j, and DS1 is claiming "not hungry" in the morning. I hoped these might be good to foist upon him as he sneaks out the door in a daze:rolleyes:.
Thanks in advance,
MrsB.

No, I think the instructions I have written are enough to manage with is the bran just half dry half wet?
