Absolutly Heart Broken!

Of course it's a scam.
The letter makes you believe you have won something better than you have so it's deliberately misleading.
That, to me, is a scam. Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel, my first "proper" win was this! It's absolutely gutting when you realise it isn't a win.
Hope the comping fairy brings you something great very soon!0 -
I was another "Lucky Winner" with Myseasonsholidays.com and got a letter telling me I had won a prize worth £3750(spooky) as this seems to be the same as everyone else.
I phoned to confirm & they asked to confirm my address and whether I was a home owner. Then the girl gave me the news about paying for travel, maintenance fees, which would be cut by a third to £299 p.a.. for the 1st year then £350 per year after wards.
I was so excited like I,m sure everyone who gets a letter like this on their doormat usually would be.
They said that I won through the Travel Channel website which did not arouse my suspicions because I do the competitions all the time.
Ah well back to dreaming of holidays again. Thanks to all the posters for the info supplied as I was tempted to go ahead if it wasn't for your experiences.0 -
sorry to hear that hopefully your luck picks up soon.0

I had one too! Went straight in the bin. OH found out it was a timeshare scam. Lucky escape I think. Hope graphicuk has a very big very genuine win very soon!Comping challenges:

20 prizes over £13 2/20

I've 'won' this comp once before in the past (quite a while ago now) and smelt a rat, which was confirmed by researching other wins like this.
If I smell a possible timeshare comp now, I always put that I'm a single person in rented accommodation, as I know a genuine promoter will still award me the prize and this will put off the dodgy ones. What business is it of their's anyway! Genuine prizes are normally open to all.0 -
This was my first 'proper' prize when I started comping about a year ago, all the lovely mse people warned me off, its a timeshare thing, otherwise I wouldnt have known what it was, stick with the comping, hopefully soon you'll win something that you will actually be happy with:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
