Hi guys, first of all I apologise if this is in the wrong section.
I received a letter this morning from Seasons Holidays saying I have won the prize draw, it was for a prize worth 3,750!! Had a freephone number to call which I did (very shakey and excited), proved who I was and gave my address, he asked if I was renting or owned the house so I told him I privately rent......
he then said in the terms this comp was for homeowners only! I could have cried.
So close yet so far. I think this is a sign that I really really need to read all the terms on each comp. Feel sick now lol! Never mind

Oh Dear that is such a shame, hope you get another win soon xx0

Don`t be upset it was probably a time share scam, which is why they want you to own your own home, they hope to sell you a timeshare.
I have been comping a long time and have had these types of calls before.
A real win does not depend on you being a home owner - xMake £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.0 -
Aww hope you get a proper prize sometime soon..
If it makes you feel any better a lot of people get that letter & its a bit of a con... I've had it 3 times so far... its a time share thing

Hi hun, I know you must be devastated but the seasons prize is actually a timeshare and a scam so you have had a lucky escape. see http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html?searchid=63303949
Sorry hun, hope you have a good win soon xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

That must have been a horrible let down, but you've had a bit of a lucky escape as it's a time share thing, not a win. Keep entering the comps and here's to a big win soon for you :beer:0

Agree that it can't possibly have been a genuine "prize". With the restriction to homeowners it almost certainly involves finance to be secured on a property :eek:Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
