Why the bloody hell were ACAS not involved sooner?0 -

Its about conditions of fellow workers. If only more people would stick up for their rights, other companies wouldn't be able to get away with trying to rip staff off to pay the share holders etc.
Out of interest what are these conditions of fellow workers?0 -

Come and work in the (true) private sector.
This year I've had no pay rise, been promoted and asked to provide cover for extended hours. Anyone who doesn't like it here can go look for another job, and we've been told that. If you guys aren't happy with your jobs, leave and go elsewhere. That's the way it works for most of us.
I happen to like my job. But if the strikes continue and worsen, and I can't get in, who'll be first in line if further redundancies are necessary?0 -

Couldn't agree more - these guys just aren't living in the real world.
On another note, does anyone have any nes=ws about the proposed timetable for tomorrow and Friday? From what I read in the press last week, they weren't going to be running ANY trains this week..but I can't find anything updated..
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!

Thanks but sorry I meant press etc as apparently there are another lot striking and these were the guys running the revised timetable. So if they're not there as well I don't see how they CAN run the revised timetabel but can't find any more mentioned in the press. Oh well, very interesting..

The other union comming out on strike are TSSA. They are mainly booking office staff. The people running trains for the last two weeks are middle management however im lead to believe they arent to keen on carrying this on. Talks at ACAS continue today. Management appear to be just as unrealistic... will National Express bother turning up unlike last week? will the cash strapped boss arrive in the ferrari again ? hmmm0 -
Just had my confirmation text, the strike is on. Again.0
