Hi,
The refund process for the strike action hasn't been posted to the NXEA website yet, and won't be until the strikes have ended:
Strike Action Refund Claims
Holders of Monthly and Annual Season Tickets who were unable to travel will be entitled to claim a refund for days affected by strike action.
A specific strike refund claims form will be available via this website once the industrial action has ended.
This will enable us to process refunds as quickly and accurately as possible.
Please note:
Delay Repay compensation forms will not be accepted for claims relating to strike action.

Thanks - annoyingly though, because I'm moving, I've been buying weeklies since my monthly ticket ran out 2 weeks ago. It doesn't mention weekly tickets.

Don't worry, they will count - they're weekly season tickets where you've paid for 7 day's worth of travel. It seems you have to do it ASAP. If ticket offices are fobbing you off, take a print out of the following page on the site:
http://www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/services/customer_services/strike_refund_arrangements
Anytime / Off Peak / Advance Ticket Holders
A full refund will be given on UNUSED tickets where a part of the journey is on National Express East Anglia services and the ticket is valid for outward travel on any day affected by strike action.
On return tickets, where the return portion was unable to be used due to the Industrial Action (but the outward portion has been used) a 50% refund of the ticket’s value will be provided.
Refunds can be made via any NXEA ticket office and will be returned to you in the same way that the ticket was purchased (e.g. credit card purchases will need to be refunded to the original credit card).
Weekly Ticket Holders
A refund will be given for the days on which the weekly ticket could not be used. Applications should be via a NXEA ticket office within 7 days. The refund will be made the same way in which the weekly was purchased.
You DO NOT need a delay repay form - show your ticket and they will refund you there and then if you paid in cash, you'll get cash back, if you paid by debit/ credit card, you'll get it back on your debit/ credit card.
hth and sorry I didn't see this earlier.

Does anyone know if I can get a refund on my weekly tickets (last week and this week)? The signs at Liverpool Street say to go to the ticket office for a refund via the method I paid. I did this and was sent away with a 'delay repay' form - but the website says that delay repay forms won't be accepted for strike action?! I feel like I'm being passed from pillar to post.
I have to say though, the cost of my National Express East Anglia travel (£365 month!) is the reason I am moving house tomorrow. Instead of travel costs I will be paying rent of £400 a month. Insane that a very squashed train journey on a rickety, juddery, unreliable train service twice a day can cost as much as a permanent share in a lovely 3-bedroomed house!
The strikes make me livid. Can they not see they are putting commuters jobs in jepoardy by not running train services to allow us to get to work? People are getting laid off at every opporunity - a 2-day-a-week absence might be considered 'industrial action' if you work for NXEA, but it's considered skiving when I can't get in, and it's threatening MY job!
Helloecho - i d have sympathy with you and everyone else suffering. Ive always wondered how commuters stick traveling 2 hours or so each way THEN do a days work. I hope things are sorted soon for everyones sakes. One thing in our defence i guess is that ASLEF havnt called a strike which has then gone ahead in the GE region for at least 20 years. They arnt called on lightly. And the unions are paid for by members each month to esure we are treated fairly. Sadly NX dont know the meaning of the word0 -
I'm all for strike action.0

Yes but what about the people trying to sell theatre tickets, when now postal workers are striking too. the buyers might not get them in time. I agree that this is an insane time to be on strike, when so many people have not had a rise and many don't even have a job now.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

I dont know how many times we have to say its not about a pay rise (NX are trying to give us a pay decrease while giving middle management up to 5 grand as it happens). Its about conditions of fellow workers. If only more people would stick up for their rights, other companies wouldn't be able to get away with trying to rip staff off to pay the share holders etc.0
