My DH is fab, he cleans, cooks, washes and irons, makes bed, changes bed. Can turn his hand to any DIY job. Tonight he's looked through the outside bin for shoe heel replacements I threw away - believe me I wouldn't of!!!!:j

My DH works long hours in a job he hates so that I don't have to work full time and the boys have me, not child care, and so that we can have the dream house we both wanted he spends his weekends mostly doing DIY. I neither want nor expect him to contribute to the cleaning which I try and get done when he isn't home. I don't think this makes me a mug, just a fair and mutually acceptable division of labour based on our skill sets and circumstances.

I did make myself S&S the kitchen and get the DW on. Serious attack of CBA, glad we are at home tomorrow.

Hex - you are not a mug - you have chosen a lifestyle that works for both of you - well done. If we had the choice then I would give up work aswell but we can't do that at the mo but its something that we are working to in the future

That's love for you  I used to do that sort of thing to impress DH when we were courting, but after nearly 19 years of marriage :rotfl::rotfl:

    [

DH and I were only talking the other day about how I used to take his dive tanks to be filled when we were first courting, 17 years ago

I have decluttered a packet of jaffa cakes, some lamb from the fridge and several packets of crisps.. and gave the rabbits a pear.

However, my rather lovely new OH has.. tidied and vacuumed the middle room Satan sent to taunt me with, he is now eyeing up the front room and has a spare eye on the back room.. obviously there is no way I am going to discourage his fine work. He even uncoiled some of the playstation cables.. I thinkhe is crazy but he appears to be enjoying himself.. he washed my kitchen ceiling (remains of Decembers fire) and the walls last week!!:eek:

Oh sneaky I didn't think you liked lamb :rotfl:

I'm with you hear hun. DH works in the city and is out of the house for at least 12 hours a day. He does load the DW on the weekend and cleans the shower - the one job I hate but the rest I willingly do as him working means I don't have to go out to work and can be a SAHM.

Rose - well done, glad you feel you have achieved something. Can I ask do you sleep at night with naps in the day, just know I wouldn't. What are you putting on your heels? I find the Avon cracked heel balm great.

G&B - well done you, you are one clever lass

Greenbee/Valli - I'd wonder about the will too. I think once probate is granted the will becomes a public document, they keep it when they issue the probate

Boddy hope you have enjoyed your birthday and been spoilt

Johanne well done on the Avon, any idea when a promo on kids suncream will be?

Dinner done, I need to get on and do some ironing in a bit, think I'll hoover and mop the kitchen floor to get that done first.
