    Hi everyone. :hello:

Thanks for the lovely welcomes and kindness to my girls. :)

We're currently piled up in the blow up bed in the LR of Grandma's caravan. The big girls are watching tv, and dd3 is playing with her peppa pig matching cards.

Mum's taken the pooch out for a walk, I think she's enjoying a bit of space!

Wilf I hope you feel better today. Sorry you're having a bad time with your OH.
Piggers I hope you've found something positive... somewhere.... ???
Methekids (((hugs))) babes... sorry you're in the dumpsters. Blooming Auntie Flo... give her a good kick up the butt, I hope she arrives soon, and leaves even quicker. ;)
Crafty I couldn't cope with tons of cushions either. I tried once to have a 'showhome" type bed, with a beautiful bedspread and cushions, it lasted about a week, before we coth got fed up of making the bed to that degree ever day. We're more.. 'shake the quilt out... there done', kind of people!

Still in bed, suppose I'd better do something???

ETA Thanks for the Toots info AnWsMum. Is it raining over there? It is over here - grr - I have sheets to dry! Shall I come and hold W's hand in case those big hunky firemen scare him?

:rotfl::rotfl: Thanks for the kind offer :p we managed just fine! Not been back to post since yesterday morning so only just seen this. We had a ride in a fire engine as well :D T'was a right busy day.

Will carry on trying to catch up.

  • Thankyou for your kind thoughts - I think I will finally make a start.... I am going to face the dreaded utility room and try and clear the rest of the stuff from the floor.

I have sorted through some of Mum's stuff and tried to be realistic about what will sell but they will need the money as they are hopefully going to move soon to a bungalow or flat and may need carpets etc (driving back from holiday to view a bungalow with them on Wednesday but they are 2nd on the list so not a done deal but fingers crossed) I think I will rope the kids in to start listing today - they can do 5 items each - at least it will be a start.

I need to have a shift about of furniture in the coal shed to then be able to clear the dining room end of the living room IYSWIM.... then I will venture upstairs. Will also need a shower before shopping for DS next week as he is staying at home.

DD can also clear out the crud from the car so that it is not so minging when we go tomorrow. I also need to finish an update on my cases so that everyone knows what is happening incase anything kicks off. But first thing first - a HHC in kitchen as it stinks after DS attempt at cooking lovely home made beefburgers for tea yesterday.

Does anyone want to join me for a HHC from 09.45 to 10.15?

  • I managed the following in my HHC

    Cleared the sink
    cleaned the sink
    washed up
stacked next lot of washing up by the sink
put a load of washing in - why do GT insist on doing washing -whites and colours together:doh:and then when it is finished take it out of the the machine and leave it in a bag. Why do they not hang out the washing or if it is wet then we have several airers!!!!:confused::confused: Washing now smells really musty and has to be washed again!!!
also finished sorting the medicine drawer that had expanded to 3 drawers - now have an empty drawer!!:D
Recycling bin in kitchen now full!

Right going to read my book for 8 mins and then start again at 10.30.... utility room this time.....yuk!!

I don't! I do have a cotton throw thing which is really tatty now (it was my Dad's which he put on his armchair thingy) which goes on top of the duvet to try and protect it from the dog. As Dad passed away in 1996, it's seen some service and is getting a little bit thread bear. But all those cushions on top? I'm sorry, I think all that extra washing of soft furnishings and sorting and bedtime routine - even if you just throw them on the floor - they still need picking up the next morning.

I have washed up after dinner and watched most of a Jack Frost. I do like Jack Frost... and am about to go to bed.

I, too, am a huge Jack Frost fan - I love anything with David Jason in. I would love to meet him and give him a big hug, he looks so huggable
What is an armchair thingy? I love soft furnishings that have a bit of history - my mum has a quilt that she made herself with bits of her old clothing in and bits of our clothes in from when we were children. It's lovely, altho threadbare a bit now. Perhaps you can patch up your dad's with things that remind you of your past and then it will keep it going for longer.

Rosepink - nice to see you posting and glad you had a better day yesterday. Love the pebble idea but the weight would be a problem in the suitcase.
    :rotfl:LOL I didn't think of that!

Big hugs Wilf, hope you are ok and that your OH feels better soon. I know myself when I am feeling really bad that it feels like everything my DH does is to annoy me, and I’m ashamed to say that I do lash out sometimes but I realise I’m doing it and immediately apologise. I know it’s hard when they are low and you don’t want to make it worse, but sometimes DH does have to tell me to be nice to him and that brings me up sharp – perhaps you need to let your OH know how you feel. It’s so easy to lash out at those we love when we feel bad but it’s not how it should be.

Crafty I so get what you mean about the bed, I drool over the pictures in magazines and catalogues. I do think it would be too much work each morning and very irritating at night having to clear it all off to get in but it does look lovely with cushions and I would have teddies too! I absolutely love the bed in the picture you posted, that’s what my dream bedroom would be like

Big hugs Methekids, I know what you mean as I’ve been on holidays where I’ve not wanted to go because I’ve been worrying about how we will afford it. In the end, I’ve just had to decide that it’s too late to do anything about it now, we are committed to go and I will have to worry about the money when we get back. I've made a concerted effort to put my money worries out of mind and relax. We’ve always had a good time in the end. I’m sure you will too xx

No flying is planned here today apart from maybe washing up. I'm really determined to get to my Bible meeting today, have missed so many over the last 3 weeks while I've been battling with this virus. I didn't want to spread my germs even if i had felt up to going! But I really want to get back into my routine, so am going to go even tho I'm really tired this morning. I'm looking forward to it so much!
