Morning. Looks like a sunny day here. My plan is send OH to the supermarket for shopping, we don't need much. Get a loaf in the BM and then start to attack the kitchen and put last nights ironing away once OH goes to get our kids.

I am feeling a bit better but still very tired and sore I am so so looking forward to see my babies today as I haven't since friday.

Greenbee and Frodders and Mrs B - if you're doing a pub crawl using the train, I suggest you do it in August. SW Trains are doing a midsummer madness deal where you can get a day return on Saturdays and Sundays in August for £10 (there are a couple of restrictions I think). This deal has come in so handy for us going up to London for the wedding next Saturday :D
Thanks soappie... I think the plan was for a walk, but Mrs B needs a pub at least every mile :p Feel free to join us!

    Did someone mention cushions??

I know at least two people who have bedrooms that look like this. At one friend's the spare room bed has so many cushions on it you can barely get into it! But they are handy if you want to sit up and read or work in bed!

(((hugs))) for Me and Wilf. I hope your days improve.

Me - can you not sort through your mum's stuff and be brutal about what you throw out. Just tell her that not all of it sold/was suitable for selling. There's no point in you spending hours putting stuff on ebay if it won't shift, so you might as well take it to the charity shop/clothes bank now and get it out of the way. Obviously if there are any 'well worn' shoes, you should take a look at the ebay thread Valli mentioned yesterday :rotfl:

The sun is shining here too, so now I've had my breakfast and set of the DW, I'm going to put a load of stuff in the WM and head off to the farmers' market. Once that's done I'll come back and try to give the whole place a quick S&S so it's bearable for the next week, and then get out into the garden.

Hope you all get a break from the rain and have a chance to get outside in the sunshine!

    Good Morning All

It is lovely and sunny here - great but it does show both how dirty my wndows are and how much the garden needs weeding - oh hum!!:o

I have taken the plunge with my disgraceful house - why do I pick a time when I only have the weekend before I leave for our holiday.....

I have picked up everything - and I mean everything off the floor so that I can hoover - not been done for weeks I am ashamed to say.. Now the hall is full of bags and the sofa and chair are covered right up above the backs.... Now I am even more ashamed.....:o I have got DS to clear the utility room as I couldn't get in there for stuff - mostly it is mother's crud that she wants me to sell or I have taken away so that it does not get re-absorbed into her house.

So yesterday I did all of this and hoovered..... also spent ages in kitchen trying to clean it again - how can it get in such a mess with just 3 of us here. It took ages.....

So today I am going to do the same in my bedroom so that I will actually be able to put up the extra rail to take Mum's clothes and be able to reach my wardrobe (first time for weeks) to put my clothes away. Then when I pack tonight I will be able to find my clothes - well that is the theory anyway!!

I cannot believe that I am not really looking forward to my holiday - it just feels like more hassle and expensive at that..... not that I have much money only the housekeeping for the week..... we will just have to be creative about what we do. It is only DD and I going to a friends cottage and she is happy to spend hours reading. I might also try to do the Ornage Wednesday thing and my friend has given me her National Trust card so that would be free.

I think AF might be paying a visit today as I am sat here in tears......

    Me

don't worry hun - your house is probably a palace compared to my pit!

I hope you enjoy your holiday.....oohh the prospect of sitting and reading....lovely! Sounds like you need to relax!

We haven't had a family holiday since 2005 - eldest was diagnosed with ME in 2006 and life has never been the same since!

You know those bedrooms you see in magazines and 'house' programmes?

The ones where the bed has a fancy throw draped across the bottom of the bed and co-ordinated cushions piled up the top.

Does anyone in real life have a bed and a room like that???

I have a large fluffy thing on my bed, :rotfl:it is draped across the bottom of the bed, and would spend all its time there, if I let it..............AKA cat! :rotfl::rotfl:
