DD wants to go to the theatre in London so am looking into it. Anybody recommend good (cheap) hotels? or anything really?
we will be arriving London St Pancras but I am happy on the tube etc
also I have never seen Tower Bridge or the Tower of London in real life. last time I went I stayed in part of County Hall by The Eye = just picking brains really...
I can no longer do Red without feeling the effects Lilac nice to see you here BTW I am fairly certain we've 'met' elsewhere
(My typing would be greatly improved if I switched the light on and popped the reading glasses on the visage :rotfl:)

Either way as working Mon need it all done by tomorrow night so I shall start now whilst you all enjoy your alcohol and I wonder how my Sat nights ended up like this ...

    Evening

well food shopping's all away, teas cooked and munched and I've cleared away. OH is home form work but not feeling great - stressed to the hilt again, this time worrying about his courses next week and the results he's waiting for.

Lilacpixie - welcome to the thread, just remember baby steps to start with

    PenPen - happy hols

SM and Greenbee- well done on the walk (and SM thx for thinking of looking for the shoes)

    Ginger Girl - welcome back

Lav1979 - well done on starting the new house with no clutter. Pain about the pox.

Right I have to update finances on Quicken then I will be watching telly with OH and DD and may well join you all with a glass of rose.

And for anyone who thinks their family life is a handful, watch Outnumbered on BBC1 at 945 and you'll realise that in fact we are all quite normal.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Just realised Curtis Stigers is one of the chaps in the DJs on the Proms. I had such a crush on him in the 80s and went to see him on a couple of his tours! Must look out his CD and stick it on DHs ipod!

Does anyone think the men singing at the Proms concert looka leetle bit orangina in colour? A bit heavy handed on the foundation there I think!

*slops on the chaise longue with a sigh that could sink a thousand souls*

I've done nothing.. not a twinkling thing... *sigh*

oh.. I did 2 lots in the DW, 1 in the TD and OH mopped the kitchen floor after spilling a dish of soggy weetos all over the floor.

I think I may be somewhat miserable today.. the black dog ran away in fear for its life after just one of my sighs...

I'm off to bed.. to think of a reason to be glad about today.....i think that may take a while...

Hugs Piggers - try and do a Pollyanna - you are able to flop into your own bed which is much better than a hospital bed or a bed in a council run b&b facility where you have to be out all day... xx
