Huge hugs for you Dolly....my Grandad died in January so I know how you feel. Although DD1 is 6 so she understands a bit more, we told her the same then as we did when IL's dog died when she was about 3. We said that their body was poorly but their mind (best way we could describe the soul) went up to heaven and they were now a star in the sky. In the evening of the day my Grandad died we looked up to the sky and looked for the brightest star and said that was him. DD1 still refers to my Grandad and the dog when were looking at the stars sometimes. She did see me upset and I think its better for them to understand that its alright to feel sad for a while.

Anyway, I had my friend and her DS round for lunch and a play yesterday and looked after him for a couple of hours too, then was round at SIL's for tea with the kids for her son's birthday, then went to work, so quite a busy day but not much flying happened though. Will do a list update:

Magnificent Monday ~ Scabby Crabby kitchen!
    Sweep and mop the floor
Sort and organise a cupboard in these rooms!..

Tuesday Terrors ~ Master bedroom and landing

Strip the bed and wash the bedding and replace before bedtime!!
    Level Two

Wednesday Warblings ~ Living room, hall and stairs!

    Level Two
    wipe the sofas
Vacuum the floors, including the stairs
Wipe the paintwork in the hallway and up the stairs
    Level three
    Clear a hotspot
    wipe over any electricals

Thursday Thrills ~ Bathroom, Loo and Study
    Clean the bath, basin
    Level three
Wash the bath mats and shower curtains if needed
    15 minutes filing

Off to put the oven on for tea and do a quick tidy of the kitchen.

ETA: Am trying to be organised and this afternoon I have sewn name labels into DD1's new school skirt, pinafore and PE shorts.

Yes froddington :hello:, that will give me time to make a cup of tea first! Must wipe down the paintwork, and re-mop the floor in the kitchen as the kids were making a den in the garden this morning and walked a lot of mud in. After that, no excuses to put off dealing with the paperwork anymore!

I'm all shopped out. Went to the local 'you must visit this fantastic retail centre' place which boasts monsoon, Wallis, Evans etc. and nothing. Nada. Zilch in the way of anything remotely long or appropriate. So decided I had to go into town. Fortunately, Debenhams was a real friend to me today. I've bought something very similar to this

    http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_66851_823942_-1

to wear as bridesmaid. And it was in the sale so only cost me £60.00 :money:
I just need to photograph it and see'f it meets my sister's approval.

Have also stocked up on tissues, lemsips etc. and fresh veg, bacon and eggs and animal food. I shouldn't need to go out the house now for a while
