    Morning all

Grey and drizzly here this morning, what a contrast to yest.

Had a lovely evening at Opera in the Park, the weather was perfect and there was about a huge turn out. There was a beautiful sunset, accompanied by lovely music and good company and wine. The only bad point was some people behind us who had brought their children with them and then just let them do what they wanted whilst they just carried on drinking and ignoring them. The children were running riot, shouting and play fighting and banging into other peoples chairs. I just can't understand parents who let their children upset other people without repremanding them at all. The children were obviously bored and it was not their fault, but it did spoil our night to a certain extent. There is Party in the Park on today with lots of top pop acts on for kids etc so it is a shame that the weather has changed. Both events are free concerts put on by the council and are really great - we are very lucky that they put them on.

We are going to the Farmers market shortly so hopefully will pick up some nice bits and pieces.

Hope you all have a good day

    Morning everyone :hello:

Drizzly here but I can spy blue skies over the islands so hopefully they are heading this way. :D You should move to the Highlands N9Eav. it's been a lovely summer here. :p

The house is bombed so I made a start on cleaning this morning but got distracted by the garden when I went out to feed the birds so I have dedheaded the window boxes and baskets and taken alot of leaves off the tomatoes to let the sun get at them. Once the cleaning is done I need to do the meal plan and get some shopping in. Also have a small basket of ironing to do.
No idea what's for tea as the girls want to help so it might be spag bol as the love all the chopping required for that. :D

    Fingers crossed for you pawpurrs.
Glad you spoke to Tristan MSD. He really is incredible!!!
    Sorry Aussie. I couldn't help myself. :D
    Hope you're ok Churchie.

    :hello: Good morning!

I've woken up with a cough and the beginnings of a sore throat so i think I'd better give church a miss  I hate missing it as i'm in the choir and I enjoy singing and seeing my friends there, but I suppose better safe than sorry :o I don't think it's swine flu as I don't feel as if I've got a temperature, atm anyway, but it's certainly something :p

I forgot to mention all the birthday girls when I posted the other day :o I hope you all had nice days - Haribo, it certainly sounds as if you did :)

Diva - :j at Tris being out of hospital

nic1lou2 - Glad you had a nice evening, but oh dear, those children - though I suppose I should be saying "Those parents"

Marie - Sorry you're missing your DDs (((HUGS)))

Mioliere - The flooring sounds lovely! We bought some tile-effect lamiate a few months ago for our kitchen/diner but DH hasn't felt up to laying it yet, I keep hoping he'll suddenly feel better for a few days and be able to do it :p I can't do it as my knees are worse than his and I tire very quickly too - but so does he, unfortunately  What a pair we are!

bargainbird - Sorry you had such a bad night! Loved the pics of Spike and your DD.

halight - Glad your head is a bit better x

pawpurrs - Nice to see you, good luck with the house move - hope all goes well so you can start packing :)

I made toad-in-the-hole last night - it was lovely, I'd only made it once since last year. Tonight we're having pork chops, as long as I feel up to cooking them - though I suppose I could give DH instructions from my chair :p Not sure what else I'll be doing today - will see how I feel as the day goes on.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all,

DD did not dye her hair :T i persuaded her to get a wash in / out one tomorrow, but I was thinking about it in bed last night and I think we should just do the tips of her hair, it will look good, and then if its still there in sept, we can get the ends cut off ;), (Thanks for the advice Pink xx )

Ok its kind of a nice day here, no rain at least and there is a nice breeze, I have the bedding in the wm, so will get that out to dry.

Going to have a day of sorting out, grass needs cutting and strimming, and garden tidying. I am also going to empty the conservatory and give everything a good clean. The bath also needs looking at, there was a small hole in the enamel, and the water has got in and its spread and rusted, so will get the OH onto that :D

Belly pork (outdoor reared ) for dinner for Oh and I dd can have a veggie bake thing, which I made last week.

Will get the dog out for a walk later, and that will be sunday gone

Hugs to all in need, have good days all xx

Didn't do most of yesterday's list - after tea we went to the beer fest higher up the village (didn't even finish 1/2 pint as I'm pregnant!) - lovely evening, but toddler didn't get to bed until 10 p.m.! He woke up at 6.45 this morning!!!
Drizzly here, so no washing, but tons of ironing glaring at me.
Making cards today for friend's twins birthday tomorrow, also need to bake as we've no biccies etc - keep trying different flapjack recipes as my old one doesn't work now, but think oven may be to blame.
Off to a couple of car dealers this aft to look at cars, trying to get a good deal under scrappage.
Off for a paper & walk little 'un - have agood morning all!

    Hi everybody,:hello::heartsmil
    MSD-:jfor Tristan,even if grumpy.
Not much planned for today, its absolutely chucking it down, shame after yesterday which turned out nice in the end.We actually sat in the garden on the loungers-haven't done that for weeks, and the toms got some sun.

Tea tonight will be roast chicken done in the Remoska, not sure about veg yet but prob broc and cauli-my veg drawer needs sorting out and soup may need to be made, certainly the weather for it today anyway.I got 2 reduced Elmwood chickens at the Coop yesterday, have frozen one.DS2 will have a gammon steak salvaged from the accidental freezer defrost the other day.Strawbs and cream after.

Sorted some washing but may leave it and see what weathers like in the morning.Managed to get the towels dry yesterday on the line,no chance today.I dont think I need to make a loaf today, give the hardworking bm a day of rest :D
    Enjoy your day everyone.x

Ivyleaf - I'm so sorry that neither of you are up to laying your laminate flooring yet. I wish we were closer - I'd volunteer my DH. I wonder if you could swap skills with someone who could lay it for you? MoneysavingDiva mentioned begborrowswap in her post this morning (first post on here today; she's put a link); perhaps you could find someone in your area to help? It must be frustrating having the materials there and not being able to get the job done.

Pawpurrs - fingers crossed for you.

Redruby - glad you've come to a compromise over the hair dye!

Well, it's really hot. I've had to help DH take out the loo and sink so that he can lay the floor; I've made a plum crumble and prepped the salad for dinner. Now I'm about to do some work. I shall have to turn the radio off so that I can concentrate; Cilla Black is standing in for Steve Wright's Sunday Love Songs on R2, and she's played some great music this morning. To think that when I was younger, I could do my homework and listen to music at the same time! Those days are long gone now.

It's a bit overcast here but no rain yet.
Rubber chicken for lunch, yet again, lol. I made a chicken & veg pie yesterday from a couple of drumsticks, today I shall make chicken ham & mushroom pie. Hubby calles them brown chicken pie, cos it's made with veg & brown gravy & white chicken pie cos it's made with ham mushroom & white sauce.
All the washing dried yesterday & no ironing to do.
    Have good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
