Sunday - What have you done today that's DFW stylee?

I'm up early for me so thought I'd start this thread this morning. We had such fun with it yesterday .... It's great to see what you do throughout the day as a DFW and share ideas.

I have put washing on the line already (have vowed not to use the tumbledryer now til Autumn). Having a nice cup of tea (free vouchers I got from Tetley as we wrote to then saying their Green Tea bags were disgusting!).

Going to my Mum's for Easter lunch so saving the expense of cooking a roast for the famly but I am making a pudding out of ingredients I have in the cupboard so taking a contribution.

It will be a no spend day today as no shops are open!! Will manage one at last ..... although there is always the internet!

Well, that's got it started. Can't wait to hear what you are all up to.
Hope everyone has a very Happy Easter Sunday and eats lots of chocolate!!

:EasterBun

    Morning

DS woke me up early by starting his Easter Egg hunt under my duvet!
But bless him, he brought me the free Sunday newspaper up to bed!

We've had tea (50% extra free in box) and some toast (from the 2 Hovis loaves for £1.20 offer).

After yesterday's debate on washing my car, I am going to do it this morning by hand. Off for lunch and tea at my bro's, so no cooking a roast for me either!

    Happy Easter everyone!

    Hi

    Happy Easter.

I did an egg hunt for the kiddies this morning, that was great fun.

When ds goes to his dad's i will be decorating my dd's room, she had a horrible room which was blue and all the wood dark blue and it was filty when we mobed in, she has just had new plugs put in as she only had one and had leads all round the room, (very dfw, my dad got one of his electricians to come and fit them). So today i am finishing stripping the annoying bits of wallpaper and undercoating the wood.

Boiled all my microfibre clothes last night so can do some good cleaning when im bored of decorating. Oh and i only half cut the grass the other day (didn't feel v well and huge garden) so could finish that!

I think thats about it, nothing else to do today.

Hope you all have a good day.

Well we're about to have bacon butties (Buy one get one free on the bacon) for brekky and tea (50% extra in the box too :p )

Then yesterday I cooked a turkey crown (£2.00 from Asda on Xmas Eve -- Been in my freezer since).Got 8 X 2 person portions out of that -- Had turkey fajittas yesterday (half price guacamole) and having turkey din dins today (Cheap potatoes and mashed squash that was reduced!). Bottle of wine on half price offer, bought lots so got 10% discount on top of that plus best beloveds work discount! :D

Finally spending a very lazy day watching telly (have worked out I can get NTL for less than I was paying on internet & phone and get the telly too!) whilst best beloved plays reduced xbox game bought with amazon voucher from answering surveys!

Eggs were gift from sis in law so FREE (my favourite price  )

WOW now I've writen it down, it seems that we are actually living a debt free wannabee lifestyle! Yayyyyyyyyy :j

    happy easter everyone!

Ive just fired off a complaint email to Sainsburys about their taste the difference White Chocolate egg. OH got given it from work, its got these bits of cocoa bean in the shell, so hard one chipped my tooth. Minor, but will cost me if/when I choose to put it right not painful any more though)

Hopefully I'll get some vouchers out of them? Hope so :)

After seeing what people get from writing letters to companies, its gotta be worth a stab. A mate of my sisters when he was 12, he sent back a green crisp to walkers and they delivered him a massive box of 60 bags of crisps to say sorry. I remember that ( i was 15 at the time) thinking WOW 60 bags of crisp all to yourself!!

    afternoon all,

well breakfast was toast on Hm bread, lunch was egg mayo sarnies made from eggs from our chickens and again on hm bread, a yoghurt and some choc cake bars given to the children by their great nan. dinner is going to be sausages (bogof) and mash.

been to the garden centre this morning....bought some seeds and compost, hoping to grow my own veg more this year, did a little last year. i picked up 2 tiny tumbling tomato plants too and they will go in hanging baskets.

have some basil drying from my pot in the kitchen, it was getting a bit bushy so picked some leaves.

just pottering around the house for the rest of the day and wont be spending any more money!

    Hi everyone.
This is my first post on the daily DFW thread. They have one of these on the Old Style board and it is very popular.

Today I have pegged washing on my line. I will be sowing some seeds for flowers and beans, to go with the tomatoes, courgettes and peppers that are already on the go. OH is going to get me some compost so I can plant potatoes in our old dustbin. (We have now got wheelie bins so the old dustbin was redundant.) We are having chicken for tea and I have some salad items in the fridge that will be good for a lunchtime snack. Unfortunately DS has a sickness bug so we won't be venturing far but I may get some work done in the garden.

I got my mortgage pig on Saturday, I bought it on ebay. It is a lovely silver pig and it goes well with my kitchen where I have quite a lot of stainless steel and chrome. I have filled him with loads of change I had lying around in wait for the pig's arrival. I don't have a name for him yet but I'm sure I'll think one up for him.

Have a lovely DFW Easter Sunday!
