Ok!! Long story short...... I was searching for ages using various searches (I don't give up!).... Eventually I put 'English Village' into Google, then I found a similar photo where you could zoom into the buildings. One of them was called The White Hart Inn.... More searching for The White Hart Inn in Google images and I found the same buildings!! Took me ages though!
It is a village in the Cotswolds called............. Winchcombe!!

Dunno if I can post links on here....?
But..... if you search Google images for 'Winchcombe', the first pic that comes up should be very similar to the comp pic. This one has bicycles in it.

Also, if you search 'Flickr.com for 'Winchcombe' but go into 'advanced search' and put 'the exact phrase' in the first box, towards the end of the first results page you can also see the roof of that weird chimney building. It has a Hula Hoop type chimney but I can't see the little door type chimney although the photo is taken from the other side.

    Phew..........
    :)

    Caz x

OMG! I was half-joking that we could find the village on t'internet! Caz, you are a genius! That's some detective work.

Right, next step - coach trip to Winchcombe for a site-vist. Who's joining me! Lol. :rotfl:
Wins include: Cushelle Koala Bear; signed Terry Pratchett book; tickets to Noisettes; Glenlivet Whisky; tickets to Henry Moore exhibition, Beyonce, ABBA world plus Red Letter Days Aston Martin driving experience. Still trying for holiday and car! Good luck everyone.

With all that fantastic hard work from caz - thank you, I managed to find a brilliant photo of the door, cupboard, handle etc

I went to this page here http://www.flickr.com/photos/papabear9/2673949720

clicked on the magnifying glass that says all sizes, then clicked on download the large size.
That saved it on my windows picture and fax viewer. Then I could use that little wheel thing on my mouse to zoom in and get a very close look and you'll see it is a chimney breast/stack and a bracket holding an aerial.

On the competition photo there is a green square on the wall by the chilli. On the photo I found above, it clearly shows the name of the shop is 'vegetable'. Have they put the green square there to protect it's identity or is it a clue?
Destinations, I am hopeless at them but using google I found a green square in Tripoli Libya, Copenhagen and Dataran Merdeka in Malaysia.

    You are very welcome !
Soblivion, well done, I couldn't find a chimney pic!

But... to put a spanner in the works (and cos we have New York already.....),
Why are the clock hands set to midnight? (or midday)!?
Could it refer to Greenwich..... or the Midnight sun maybe (Norway?)?

    Just a thought!!

    Cheers,
    Caz

im pretty certain (like 99.9% certain) that the clock is symbloic of Times Sqaure, why else have a SQUARE clock? its asking for holiday destinations, people especially go to times square for new year...hence the midnight timing... if it were from greenwich (which really, isnt much of a holiday destination) then why have the symbolism of a SQUARE clockface? surely theyd use a normal one. or doctor the clock that was originally in the photo with a changed time. im sticking with times square, besides having buffalo and new york (big apple)

This is the monkey from King Kong (Hong Kong)
    kingkong_bigfinal1.jpg and from Gibraltar: Macacos-Selvagens-Monkeys-Gibraltar%2520(14).jpg
i'da thunk it was pretty conclusive that the monkey in the image:
    monkeyz.jpg

is more the gibraltar monkey than it is a gorilla

and is it just me or was king kong not set in manhatten?
