There is a place in Tripoli, Libya called green square. Could be the green square right next to the chilli?

Thanks everyone. and to BigRichG for keeping track. I'll know to do that next time.

Thanks okciv. Maybe that's it. I was trying to work out if the square clock looks like it has been added to the picture but maybe it was already there and isn't a clue. So maybe it is the green square? Hmmm

Oh! Thanks for zooming in on this, Niccy. It really does look like a hula hoop. I hadn't spotted that. Hula = hawai to me.

Having thought about it overnight (yep, I was not drinking last night ) I'm more convinced about Times Square - the clock being at midnight suggests possibly New Years Eve and that's a big celebration in Times Square.....

If it is Times Square then we've got 30 and so the chimney is nothing.

    What do peeps think?

We have chimneys that look like that round here, so that could be a red herring!

I really liked Times Square. But I'm also now obsessed with the hula hoop as well as it does sort of look like it's been added on after the picture.

Here's a thought. do you reckon they have put in one or more than 30 - maybe to make it a little easier? Be great if they did as then people could just put the 30 answers they are happy with? [edit] realised I'm stupid. they say quite clearly at the bottom 'have you found all 30' so there must only be 30. ignore me.

Thanks Sarahlord. It would be great to rule it out so knowing that it could just be a chimney really helps - but for me I'm still torn as it looks like it's been added in after :(

Just had a thought that made me (at least) chuckle. Wonder if anyone on the forum lives near wherever the place they took the pic, and can post a picture here so we can work out for sure what's real and what's not! Or we could search google street maps between now and the closing date to try to find this street! lol :)
